Checked the mail last night, I haven't been a GEICO customer for over a year and a half since USAA opened up their coverage for former enlisted soldiers and there is a check in the mail for a little over a hundred bucks....did I miss a memo or something????

(daughter and granddaughter are down till the 17th so the sooner i get out of here during the week, the sooner i get back to the granddaughter)

It could be repayment of unused premium from when you switched policies, but a year late ?!?! ouch, they 45 days to get that done in the state of Wa.

Neil,
For sure, just give me a call on my work cell, you know the reception in the mines only works with Nextel and we can go to that mexican place in bartow. I went there with my boss the last time we spoke, it was really good. You should check out the USAA website, I would imagine you are eligible now. I made the cutoff by like three weeks the last time and they have expanded it further. Great company for sure. That is great your babies are here visiting, lemme know when you want to grab a bite, you also need that tire hook up soon don't you?

I think GEICO must have been sued or something, I filed nothing with the insurance commission in florida with them. Although five years ago when I bought my XB Progressive had quoted me like $450 a year full coverage on it, when I got my statement it was over $4000.00. So I called and they told me then that it was a high risk sport bike because of cc and top speed so my coverage would cost more. I canceled then and went to GEICO for about the same as the original quote from Progressive, well they would refund any of my original payment even though the coverage was only in effect for four days so I was out like $280.00 on the deal. I filed a grievance with the insurance commission here in florida, but it was soon after that Hurricane Charlie hit. Two years later I got a letter from the insurance commission and a check for $240.00 and change saying my grievance was found to be in my favor. This one just came out of the blue. Oh well, check you mail I guess if you used to have GEICO you may have a check waiting.

Brian,
The other day I saw a perfect bike for you man, an old Cannondale 440cc thumper, sweet bike really. This guy had it on the back of his SUV heading north on 75, prolly heading to Croom (that is the best trails in florida). I, unfortunately, was heading up to Tampa for work, otherwise I would've been going in the same direction with my CRF 450, love to get em dirty man.

Its what I grew up on. I really do hate having to truck anything, it just feels like a waste of a bike and a over utilization of a truck.
Gotta have the lights, tags, and plate.

I keep waiting for the ATKs to show up at Harley shops.... cuz they will siiiiiiiit and siiiiiit, then I should be able to get a killer deal on one.

love mexican, well tex mex more. as far as the tires go, after getting the other two bikes i decided that i have to start learning how to do my own stuff and ordered the tires on line and bought a couple of pit bulls. had my duaghter get me the service manuals and gonna start playing buell tech. sorry i didn't say anything to ya but really got to the point of needing the tires replaced. having a few bikes yourself, i hope you can understand the need to save money when you can. and although the price he quoted was pretty good, the money i saved justified me getting one of the pitbulls.

daughter and granddaughter aren't going to be home when i get off this morning so i'm gonna go ride up to firebolt32's house to see how he's doing with his broken leg and see his mom who was laid off from brandon h/d last month.

looks like there is enough damage that they will probably total the bike. stopped by lakeland to see it and just really paid attention to the frame. it was dented in pretty good. didn't notice no crack. the dent was at the base on the right side. header was pushed in and didn't really look at the motor to much. it's a 9r and the windscreen was broke.

with the tire's i took them off and had them changed for 26 bucks a tire. they also put the balance beads in them.

i appreciate the offer on the pitbull but with 5 buells now it won't take long to where they've paid for themselves. got a front and a back stand. next thing i have to do is a good service on the cyclone. a little past due.
