Crossing that line was at midnight - hence the pic taken then with phone. I came around the corner up behind a SLK Merc doing walking pace. Presumably the Merc driver was looking for a turning or driveway or something, and I just pulled around him, only to realise a battenburg was somewhere not far behind me. We'll see what the 5th brings.

Battenburgs pop out like sore thumbs, literally. Nonetheless, I've passed numerous people exactly like that before and got stopped once, only to find the pig speaking Polari so I figured if he's queer he's easy to persuade and told him the wifes water broke and was at home "water-birthing". Gave me a pat on the back, told me congrats and shooed me off. |

Fluid cooled motor. There is a us vs them in air cooled side of the house. Didnt you get the memo? We are following on the traditions of the VW crew with long standing distain for the 'new' guys. |

Rocket, Had nearly the same thing happen to me with my lady as passenger. A car pulled out right in front of us as we passed a golf course, so I swerved to miss him as a deputy came over the hill in front of us.
Lights come on & I pull over in the next safe spot. Deputy's first comment after "license & registration please" was "I can't believe you pulled over, There's no way I could have caught you if you'd run" ,in disbelief, pointing at my lady, I told him, "they don't pay you enough to risk your life like that...I've got my girl on the back, I'm not risking her....( pause for thought ) but you're right, There's no way you could have caught me, so that shows I'm innocent & responsible, right?"
Damn. Wrote me up anyway. |
