TWF-

Since it doesn't look like it would make since to take it with you and I would hate to leave a bike in storage that long I'd be more than happy to store it for you in my garage.
I would take it out for an occaisional ride to keep the seals in good working order. I'd take it to Homecoming for you so that it would know what to do when you get back and take it yourself.
I would make sure that it got the love and attention that it would not get while you were gone if it was in storage. And since Iowa is real close to Illinois it would be real easy to facilitate the transaction.

Twowheel,
Mike would be a VERY good guardian of your bike. Seriously.
I'd leave any of my bikes with him in a heartbeat.
I'm dead serious.. Mike is a GREAT guy and is one of the most straight shooters you will ever find.
This might be a great option or you.

Brad

In fact, now that I think of it, I don't know why I haven offered up one of my Buells for him for homecoming!
I guess I have now!

TwoWheelFun- so if you sell, how much do you want for the bike? I live in St. Louis and stock on the CR is getting short here.

Thanks Brad,

correction: make since to take Change that to: make sense to take
I never make a good proofreader.
My wife works for a publishing company and she always talks about how many times a book has been proofed multiple times by multiple people and there are still glaring mistakes.

TWF- I already have 3 bikes to ride so you wouldn't have to worry about me putting hyper miles on it (but then if I really liked it

Twowheel, I can heartily recommend leaving your bike with Mike he's a very nice man indeed.

What the French call "quelqun du serieux" the English equivalent would be something akin to "A standup guy".

Just don't give him any English Muffins!

(sorry, "in" joke, you had to have been there!)

Slicker If he's going to be in Paris it's him that'll be terrorized by the scooterists!!

There's all sorts of country in France from open plain to mountains & the road surfaces are (generally) first class. Part of my local test route is a superb bit of road with everything from fast sweepers to 90° corners to an uphill decreasing radius, & 90% of it on racetrack smooth tarmac.

The Parisiens have it even better, you can go & ride the track at "Circuit Carole" just N of Paris by Charles de Gaulle airport, it's open to the public certain days a week during the season.

The French are mostly very bike friendly & will ease to one side to let you pass or lane split. You just wave a foot to say thanks.

Brad,
I told my wife that she was going to have to get her license so she could ride the VFR if I ride one of your S2s. She didn't respond but I like the idea. Any chance of getting your wife to come?

I don't think I will have to worry about storing it and it not being used. Currently it is in my Parents garage and between my dad and brother I think it will get plenty of occasional rides to make sure that everything is working correctly. Still on the fence of selling it or not though because 3+ years is along time to own something and not be able to use it.

TWF-
Darn, you dashed my dreams. I have Brad looking for a deal for me.
You wouldn't deprive your family of keeping it running for you would you? Look at like the sweetheart waiting for you to come back from the war. You sure wouldn't send her a 'Dear Buell' letter would you?
