I don't believe the American people will be there to bail out your collective stupid asses, again.

Such would be comical if it were the opinion of an intelligent patriot, but what it actually is is the reality of not just one persons stupidity but more the collectives of how bigoted many a nations people are toward other nations people. Rather succinctly proves the point you so don't get - or refuse to.

Ferris, it's actually the little baggies that the crack came in. ( pavement )

Rocket, I assure you that the number of people here ( the U.S.A. ) that give a darn in a negative manner about Obama's heritage is probably about the same there that were upset about the Doctor's companion's, the lovely Dr. Smith. It's the leftists that go on about race al the time.

There ARE Lots who like that, after the War Between The States, ( where your country supported the slave owning south for capitalist pig dog reasons ...though the Trent Affair was a violation of British Imperial Sovereignty, true.) we have at last elected of our own free will a guy who is well aware he doesn't look like the majority. I, too am proud of that, but disagree with the man's ideology, which has nothing to do with his genes, but everything to do with his education and life experience.

I could do a whole rant on how leftists deliberately have kept the poor & african descended Americans in poverty for political reasons, but it's an American thing. ( the leftist label)

I don't know what you call the guys in England that always rouse the hatred of people, promise them a paradise if they give everything to the State, keep the underclass's in their place to ensure a constant voting pool, downgrade education of said mass's to keep the ignorant, and need to lie about their true motives.

Now the extreeem right wing here is just as liable to lie....but there are, in reality, amazingly few of them, way less than the lefty press would have you think.
I even know of a nazi campground not too far from here. They don't march, or antagonize anyone that I know of, just fly their flag, like any American has the right to, even the hated swastika. I think they are unpitiful fools, ( not sure about the word? I don't pity them. ) and if they were to start doing stupid things, I'm certain that at least half the people at the last Thanksgiving Turkey raffle I went to would be on hand to back up the police. ( and be better armed, it's at the VFW ) Besides, aren't nazi's leftist? ( let's see...fascist State worshiping folk that use hate to get their way... yep, leftist. Don't know what you guys call the tossers. )

As to being the police of the world. We really don't want the job. The dang Europeans keep trying that stupid "conquer the world" sh!t and we get dragged in. You guys weren't able to stop them from doing that all the time, you expect us to?

A discussion of facts & opinions on the timing, politics and roles of our nations in WW2 would be interesting. Let's start a different thread for that if you'd like, I'd find a Brit's history perspective educational. In my defense, be assured that American History Books tend to ignore our allies in WW2. I'm a history buff and know how many brave men died in Spitfires both over England, and in the farthest corners of the world. ( Like Vincent's, the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito ... art in motion & purpose )

Rant to follow.

Between you and me, Rocket, I also really wish some people didn't keep expecting undying gratitude from the many people we have freed from tyranny. It's annoying, and some people of all politics in this country keep going "why don't they like us? we saved them?" not having a fraking clue that constantly asking the question is what offends people and loses respect. Damn it, we had the parade get over yourselves.....end rant.

I'm pleased to have the Queen's troops with us on this planet. I think that British servicemen are the finest in the world. ( right after ours of course we both have Pride. ) I think, also, that you are just as in the struggle against radical islamic jihad as anyone, ( it's a world wide thing ) and that you are one of the few Empires with the balls and the goodness to fight against evil on this planet.

A lot of us are rather worried about how you are dealing with the pressure to impose Sharia law on you, and prey you come through your current cultural shift well. Wish us luck with the current crop of "leaders". We need it.

We are afraid that we won't be able to come save the world in out imperfect manner again. It's sort of you guys & us, the Aussies, the Canadians, the Poles, who else? against the bad guys.

Apologies, I just couldn't be bothered to get involved as it would be more embroiled rather than informative or not.

As for Obama, I'm just gobsmacked whatever he or his role may be that he could be called "evil incarnate" by his own people. Such suggests to me America has deep rooted problems the rest of the world should fear. And given America is a nation at war, of which my country shares the spoils of, I scare to wonder what the repercussions are from us taking similar stance alongside a nation it seems hell bent on making itself hated to others fast becoming ever more important to a rising populous the likes of which the world has not seen before.

Peace to all mankind seems so far off the agenda. Especially so when (sadly) listening to for want of a better description, an ordinary American.

When I was a religious man, years ago, I read those passages and immediately perceived the United States as being the "Mystery Babylon". Tie that in with Orson Welles in his Nostradamus documentary entitled, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow" , in 1981, whereby he said Russia and China would become allies ( cold war was still in bloom and China and Russia were enemies). Fast forward to today where China and Russia hold war games together and I'm not so sure I'm a skeptic any longer.

Rocket, you have no clue what's going on over here in as much as I don't really know what's going on in your country either. . To presume otherwise is to look foolish. Sure, we can read one others newspapers but they only tell us the truth they want us to read. There are some very disturbing things about Obama, his cabinet and the Congress. Things that are not being reported by the mainstream media. Hell, the same media still has not said a word about Climategate. So, show us some deference when we speak out against our government and I promise not to hold you responsible for Gordon Brown.

There's the oldest profession, then politicians. I respect the former more.

Since we were founded by English religious zealots, The Pilgrims, who wanted to establish a new society, ( that didn't work too well, so they changed it...a few times... ) arguing about politics was the only thing they could do besides work & try to get laid. The tradition continues.

Oh Ferris, I don't doubt Obama's as bent as the rest of 'em. Sceptically one could imagine a black mans road to the presidency was not paved with just good deeds and rose petal covered pavement. No I don't for a moment think I'm naive enough not to believe otherwise. And I certainly don't profess to know much at all about America's domestic politics. I do just like everyone else have an opinion on what little I know about Obama, and from my side of the pond he's a long way short of the warmonger Bush was. Be that him or his manipulators. The result, not the person, is what's important for now. And if you care to consider the war both our nations are involved in, and how that same war has a very large bearing on the everyday lives of people here, me included, I don't believe I deserve the crap comments thrown at me in this thread for stating an opinion, first about Americas closed files being made available to Interpol and second about Obama's presidency in some small pretty much insignificant way.

I don't believe for a moment I insulted 95% of Americans, as was suggested, but it took not many minutes for several to remind me what an ungrateful people and undeserving of an opinion too in such matters we British are. How little you think of me. How little you think of my nation. How little America seems to think of the rest of the world when opinions of outsiders come to the fore. Be they here. Be they in your corridors of power. Or be they on CNN. The world is not sick of America me thinks. It's just my opinion, and one I don't believe I'm alone in, that non Americans are sick of the size nine boots America walks all over the world wearing when and where it chooses.

And whilst we see American officials handing over the tyrant that was Saddam for a hanging brought about 'officially' by what was at best a kangaroo court, not that he didn't deserve such (that's not the point) and an illegal invasion of a nation his hanging had followed, add continuum, here we go again hello Afghanistan, I'm just wondering perhaps like so many others why America isn't kicking arse in Darfur, Rwanda or Zimbabwe when such would seem to be just the thing to be doing based on what and why Americas fingers are in other countries pies and why we should believe the crap that is sold as reason to be cheerful about Iraq / Afghanistan. For certain Al Qaeda were never in Iraq, yet events of 9 11 were what, for the goodness of all mankind in the name of peace? A further progression toward peace by jumping across Iran to kick arse in Afghanistan? Me thinks not.

Wonder where the outflanked Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is in all this, and why he really has his pants in a twist over America. Then there's the doorway or portcullis that is the path that traverses to what is probably the next Superpower on earth. Ah those smart clever Chinese. They make wheels for Buells you know. And one day they might not make wheels for Buells. But not for the economic reasons one might think.............but one thing is certain. Nothing is certain - unless of course it's told by Court Cornfield - whoever he is? Remind me to not bother telling you sometime.

You made a few contradictory statements. First, you called Obama "a long way short of the war monger than Bush" and later in your post went on to criticize current operations in Afghanistan. You do know Obama recently increased the number of troops there. It's his war - he owns it.

You appear to believe it's ok for Americans to fight and die in places like Darfur, Rwanda or Zimbabwe where we have absolutely no self-interest but it's not ok to do so in Iraq or Afghanistan. I'll take a wild quess and speak on your behalf when I surmise you mean saving people from genocide is a just and moral cause. I concur but didn't you remark in a previous post that America should not be the world's policemen? So, which is it, and what countries, in your opinion, should we be policing and which ones shouldn't we be ?

You're such an arse if you can't (won't) see the answers to such dumb questions. Frankly you just like to argue, but I'll indulge you.

You made a few contradictory statements. First, you called Obama "a long way short of the war monger than Bush" and later in your post went on to criticize current operations in Afghanistan. You do know Obama recently increased the number of troops there. It's his war - he owns it.

Obama went to war? Bush did - against UN rulings - dragged Blair in too, both lying Saddam had WMD's as their primary reason, which all along they knew NOT to be the case.

Obama's embroiled too. How would he not be? Had he told he'd withdraw he would not be in the White hut today. Troop increases yes, allegedly to get the 'job' done, we'll see. Unlikely - Russia couldn't do it. Obama claims the end game with a promise of a pull out within 18 months is it? Of course, I expect this to be a lie, but at least it's a lie that might be better than the one that kicked off this shit. The lesser of two evils one might say. Only time will tell. For now, does Obama get / deserve the benefit of the doubt? So no, not contradictory at all. Confused maybe. Simply facing the hypocrisy we are challenged by as mere observers.

You appear to believe it's ok for Americans to fight and die in places like Darfur, Rwanda or Zimbabwe where we have absolutely no self-interest but it's not ok to do so in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Do I?

You seem to be implying America has an interest in Afghanistan / Iraq? Enlighten the rest of the world as to what that might be. Do be conscious some may think more peaceable means were available if Americas objectives are / were to be believed. I understand this is in part why there's an inquiry taking place in London right now with regards to the UK's involvement.

No need to guess on my behalf. I'd have thought my comments made my personal view quite clear. If going to police then do so, but not on the back of a lie and untruths of a purpose really not made clear. Is this policing in Iraq Afghanistan? Do you know why we are at war - or is that just policing? Either one, I'm quite sure I don't.

WRONG !!... since you dont live in the U.S. you're probably not familiar with the fact that Obama, during his campaign, said he would withdrawal troops from Iraq. This is one of the reasons his popularity numbers have fallen. The hard left is extremely pissed off about this broken promise.

Rocket, your timeline is a little off.
We freed Afghanistan first, then freed Iraq, then captured Saddam, and turned him over to the more aggrieved party, the Iraqi people he murdered so many of.

The kangaroo court bit has some validity, but someone so publicly guilty couldn't get a fairer trial in Yorkshire. Even a fairly good trial in that part of the world was remarkable. Impossible, Until Brit & U.S. troops showed them how.

Iran has been the aggressor with bodies and bombs since it's death as a "legitimate" monarchy and transformation into a murderous theocracy. Iranian people are good, { persia, been civilized when our ancestors were in skins ) their unelected leaders, evil &^%$s. I disagreed with the previous guys way with Iran, I disagree with this one's.

Bush, knowing that our history with the mullahs prevented meaningful dialog, got the Europeans to negotiate. ( hoping they'd be motivated by the range increases of iranian missiles ) That hasn't worked out so good, since they (Iran) are not acting in good faith, and never have. ( the mullahs, the King of Kings wasn't that bad a sort )

Between the head Iranian negotiator crowing about fooling the European ones in public, and the people Iran keeps taking hostage, I think you'd have a clue about why he really has his pants in a twist over America It's simple.
We have religious freedom, they have religious dictators. Diametric opposites.

As for Obama's foreign policy, his political party started the "Afghanistan vital war, Iraq horrid warmongering Bush's fault" routine as a, frankly, deliberate lie to make them NOT seem like total surrender monkeys, as Afghanistan under Bush was a low key operation in the War.

So they thought they could harp on about Bush not capturing Osama, ( the long dead guy ) and get credit for supporting the troops, ( bull piddle, they do not ) while not committing to actual action. ( they lie a lot, they are politicians )

Now that rhetoric has backfired, as the tactics used in Iraq worked, and a draw down of troops here is fairly certain. Also, the public rhetoric of Obama with Afghanistan as the "vital war" pumped up the fighting there as the Talib & AQa continue to fight the Great Satan, no matter the temporary leader.

This is a case of dishonest domestic politics rebounding on the world stage in death and mayhem. That's what keeps happening when our Democrat party went leftist and keeps getting wars started. ( Osama credited Clinton with his certainty that America could be defeated, The Dem's were supported by Hamas, Aq etc. as proper fools on their side, and Obama, the current guy, was supported by islamic jihadists, the communists, and all the bad guys as their choice. ) See LBJ, (Vietnam ) Carter, ( Iranian revolution, cold war aggression by the Soviets in Africa & Central America ) Clinton, ( Bosnia, Iraq, ) etc.

...both lying Saddam had WMD's as their primary reason, which all along they knew NOT to be the case.

Incorrect. Ask the Kurds. Ask the Poles. Ask Jordan. They will tell you.

Ask the Russians & Syrians...but of course they will lie to you...do don't bother.

That bit above of your's is enemy propaganda. It's a lie. Now you know better.

Of course, I expect this to be a lie, but at least it's a lie that might be better than the one that kicked off this shit.

Ok, half right, politicians lie. But Osama was the guest of the Taliban, a murderous thug regime. We tossed them out, and Osama is gone. Where's the lie?

In Iraq, Saddam was a murderous thug who violated pretty much all the cease fire agreement from his failed invasion of Kuwait. Including the destruction of his WMD arsenal. No documentation on it being destroyed has ever been given to the U.N. so he's gone.

Perhaps we should not have freed Iraq, but we did. I wish the emphasis during our political debates had focused more on Iraqi freedom than the Iraqi supported terrorist threat, but they both were in there.

Enemy propaganda and domestic propaganda are nigh identical on this subject, but both are lies. Don't believe either.

The basic problem with diplomacy is it completely ignores the obvious - people are going to do what they want to do and no amount of talk will change that. All talking does is help guide a person to a place they already wanted to go but were unable to find. I believe it's fairly clear that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not going to be swayed by conversation. He knows where he is heading. He is on a holy crusade to bring about the 12th Imam.

Note to Ferris concerning the "Mystery Babylon" quote only works in my way of thinking is the current power thats resides

Sean, I doubt he has a nuke, today. That's why there's all the sanctions talk. I doubt it will be productive. Sanctions didn't make Saddam keep his word.

Iran, or for that matter, any one who can steal radioactives, can easily make a dirty bomb. Thank the gods no one has used one yet.

Phil, the whole hoopla with the European negotiations with Iran have been to not have Iran have the bomb. Hasn't changed much of anything, as the mullahs want the big stick to rule. There's a whole religious apocalypse thing going on with the Iranian leaders too.

I'm not big on prophesy as a guide to politics, myself. Nostradammas? what ever.

I suspect what annoys some people about the Interpol thing is that this is Obama seems to be a global govt. kind of guy. Makes us nervous about what he'll do next. Clinton fired all the federal prosecutors allegedly to protect a buddy being investigated. A lot of these guys have buddies being investigated, come to think of it.

In my opinion, if we could have our troops dip their ammo in pigs blood, no Muslim would fu*k with US troops cause if they got shot their ticket to heaven would be canceled. In the early 1900s in the Philippines there was a Muslim attack on US troops there and you know what the commanding General did? Rounded up the 70 some Muslim attackers, dipped the soldiers bullets in pigs blood, shot all 70 some terrorists, poured more pigs blood over their bodies in the grave and then buried them. He left one alive to tell the story and there wasn't one damned Muslim terrorist attack for 50 years.

There's a massive difference between political satire and plain dumb ignorance. Neither of which any of your comments in this thread suggest you grasp how to play this game. If you can't insult wise, the point being you show a certain deference if you do (clearly you yourself wouldn't understand), being thick, bigoted, lacking intelligence and of little understanding to what it is you don't agree with or are fighting for. Simply put, shouting troll is easy, but here, such comment only serves to show how limited ones vocabulary really is, ironically showing the heckler as the troll. You then.
