*Apparently* it's unusual to see a motorcyclist out in this weather. <shrug>

Now to figure out how to post it to facebook....

http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/Frederi ckNewsPost/LandingPage/LandingPage.aspx?href=Rk5QL zIwMDkvMTIvMjU.&pageno=NQ..&entity=UGMwMDUwMw..&vi ew=ZW50aXR5

City - it's the Buell comfort kit, and the BAW is a 14" CeeBailey painted and stickered to look stock. And of course, the D616's for good traction in the muck ; ) The only thing I wish is that I had my coffee mug in the MTB waterbottle cage on the left hand mirror, LOL.

But, the guy Skip said it was the orange that caught his eye. Turns out talking to him, he's a BMW rider. Not only did he know it was a Buell (and pronounced it correctly) that I was on, he went right into "man, that really sucks what Harley did to Buell". Thought that was VERY cool to hear.

Thanks for the compliments, all. Everyone have a Merry Christmas / Happy Festivus / whichever your holiday of choice is. : )

Yeah Froggy...I think you beat me on temps, although my dash thermometer was reading 20ish...but it's just the zipper off an old ski jacket, so no idea how "accurate" it is/isn't.

I gotta hand it to you guys riding in the snow. I appreciate the sunny weather here in Florida every day I ride.

He Rat, How do you like that jacket. I'm torn between that and the adventure jacket...but my dealer doesn't stock anything Buell, catalog only. (sorry for the threadjacket)

Love the Bolt jacket : ) I've worn it in below-freezing temps with my heated (Gerbing/HD) jacket liner and been nice and toasty. Great fit, even in non-riding "social" situations - I can wear it to an event and just keep it on like I did at Last Ride, wore it around the shop waiting for the ride to start, wore it around the parking lot at the factory, no bulk, no interference, no "why am I wearing this huge THING". Also keeps me dry - that's the only issue I have with the adventure stuff, the removable panels are not waterproof in the rain. Zippers let water thru.

Great. I'm going to get one.

What size do you wear? I'm about 5'9" 32" waist 155-160 lbs. and athletic/slim build just a little wider around the chest.

I'm thinking Large.

Thanks for the help

Actually, these seem to run big. I normally wear XL because of my height (6'4", 34" inseam, 34" waist, 37" arms, 195lb thin/athletic/scrawny build), but in these I wear a L. The XL was too poofy, it would have parachuted bad. The L fits nice and snug, and lets me get my heated liner underneath.

Not much on your profile, but if you're near Maryland, you're welcome to try mine on to see. Or (if you're really nice lol) I can measure point-to-point distances on the jacket for ya...

I'm in FL. Now I'm thinking Medium might work too. Maybe I'll have to buy both and ship one back.

If you could measure that would rock!

Armpit to Cuff

Armpit to Waist

Cuff to Shoulder

Back width across from Shoulder to Shoulder

I'm not concerned about the waist, it will be big enough. I hate the "banker cut".

Great pic Joe! You get my vote for hardcore rider.

I was surprised and relieved this Christmas, as my wife bought me a Buell jacket and the '25 Years' book. I think she has got over my buying that Lightning from you. I was about half in the doghouse for a while. As if you couldn't tell by the looks I got that day and the slap on the head. She steered friends towards Buell merchandise for me too when they asked about gifts.

Cool pics Rat! Wish I could be riding, one of these days I'll put heated grips on and then be okay.

Sknt, I believe the new jackets built by Joe Rocket? I have a couple JR jackets and the L is too big for me. 5'10" 33" waist and athletic (176lbs). My large "Alter Ego" textile jacket is as Joe said, puffy, both on the body and arms. My other JR jacket is leather, a 42, and is pretty snug on my arms but otherwise fits well.

I also suggest the medium. Hope that's some help.

...actually found a tape measure, lol!

pit to cuff along underside of sleeve: 20"

pit to waist: 16"

cuff to shoulder along top of sleeve: 24.5 to sleeve seam; 30" to collar

shoulder-shoulder: 21" from seam to seam

and just for grins, it's 38" around my beergut on the outside of the jacket with the liner installed ; )

As far as I know, it is a JR jacket. Precurved sleeves with anti-"poofing" buttons and straps, very nice functional fit. My only "problem" with it is when I'm on my CR (which hunches me over) wearing my Fieldsheer pants - I have to unzip the jacket up from the bottom a couple inches to keep it from bunching up over my gut and chest. Other than that, though...I love it. So much so that I bought the gray one in the pic, figured out how much I liked it, and bought a blue one (the only 2 colors were gray or blue) from Bumpus to go with it. Can't bring myself to wear the blue one, though...it's too nice to get all grimy.
