Thank You, I'll take a Crucifix sitting in a jar of piss, being peacefully displayed in a art gallery. Over War, Fear and Hatred any day...

Jason those are your words. Yet you call virtually the same piece of 'art' hate speech. That speaks volumes about the hated that you have. You can call them both art, or you can call them both hate speech, but when one is art and the other hate there really is hate behind it.

You keep saying that all of BadWeb can see what is going on here. Yes they can. A few of us are pointing out the hate filled hypocrisy that is going on. Disguising hate speech as art does nothing to hide it's vile nature.

Thanks for sharing your views. It might do you some good to reassess those views. It's what is dividing the country right now.

Here's some of my wife's work:

And for those of you wondering if she is subsidized by tax $, the answer is, no.

It is possible to be an artist and make a living.

When you are done tackling the NEA there is that 1% BS that gets passed down to every bureaucracy and jurisdiction. It is absolutely senseless.
Take my town, the core of down town is absolutely bleak with stores, resturants or residents no real urban support for markets or shops..... but what we do have ?!?! an art core down town that takes up 6 full city blocks with galleries and displays.
And every city/county building down town has a huge sculpted lit something or another in front of it. (to the tune of who knows how many tax $) So down town is DEAD because the artists dont pay any property tax, they dont bring in any customers to the down town core (sure lookers but there is no commerce) and the opportunity cost of them is stifling development of a decent neighborhood.

Its called a market economy for a reason, if you cant support the rent with your 'art' move out , move on, so the rest can manage to prosper.

Really a Pyrex "Museum" Really?> thank you tax shelter bafoonery.

"It's what is dividing the country right now"

Sifo: like with a lot of simple things, you don't get it. I want to be as divided from you and your hatred by as much as possible. Your like a bunch of stinky little puppies. You and that Ferris Von Bueller guy insist on following me from thread to thread, spreading your insults and crude conduct for kicks. Now go back to Bashing Obama in the Dark corners of BadWeb. No one here cares what you think. Grow Up...

Can you please stop being so infantile for even 24 hours? It is Christmas Eve for f*** sake. You are sitting home in front of your computer nice and cozy while over 100,000 of our soldiers are stuck in the middle of nowhere and can't be with thier families...

Try some happy thoughts, just for a little while.

Stephen Hawking...
Funny story, when she was making the clay/beaded series, she picked images that had copyright associated with them. She spend a lot of time trying to get permission to use the images. She got all the permission.

I asked her how she got a hold of Stephen Hawking. She answered: "I wrote him". And he answered with a personal message written by his assistant!

Stephen Hawking is Mr. Universe, of course.

The rest of the series can be found here

Took her two years to do this work. She did it as a marketing project for what she sells.

I presume the second person plural pronoun is being used in the sentence. There is more than one excitable boy in the house lately.

Jason and Ozzie: am digging the artwork here.

Merry Christmas to all. It is officially time to start shopping so I got to run.

I just finished Hawking's "The Universe in a Nutshell". Branes, superstrings, and 11-dimensions are pretty trippy. Too much acid for the guy who played poker against Data, Einstein, and Sir Isaac Newton on board the Enterprise.

While I admire the thoughts, as I was one of those soldiers for 8 years, I must say that the statement smacks a bit of deception. Just like the "it's for the kids" statements. I find it funny that this is the statement you would make, considering your statements in the past about war, current or past, it seems incongruent as well as disingenuous, same as I find it funny when Jason starts spouting about the "Badweb Community" in his LONG experience with it. Maybe he needs to read some archives to see just how long and how much those people he is scolding have been around here....how much they contributed and will continue to contribute in the future.....anyway...the whole Christmas eve thing is a bit funny as well...would it be better to have people only speak their mind outside of holidays?.....yawn.....anyway.....

That comment was only directed at Sifo, and my comments about war... I have never ever made any comments about war in general on this thread or any other on badweb... I do not do that... I can't "debate" anything so philosophically complicated and dire to me on the internet... that would just be moronic.

As far as the soldiers I am thinking of I have one friend in the Navy deployed in California, who came back from Iraq in one piece and I worked with him for 16 months in Milwaukee... and I have another acquaintance who is in Kuwait, also in the Navy so I don't know what "disingenuous" statements you are referring to...

My thoughts and prayers are with them and thier families this holiday season... also with those families who don't have thier loved ones with them any more... and there are too many of them to list here, myself included... since I lost the love of my life 13 years ago this Thanksgiving.

What is this seniority babble? I am going on 8 years on here and consider Court and Blake both to be friends... they have never attacked me for any of my opinions on badweb... they respect and disagree. So "whatever" is all I got for you.

Hey Liquarwhere: Contribute, Ha that's rich...Even a monkey can be trained to pound on a keyboard and knock out 820 posts. If we added up the value of your statements you would be way, way in negative territory. You add nothing to the richness of BadWeb. As far as Whatever being deceptive, it is possible to be against the idea of war and completely behind our troops.
Instead of popping up randomly, why don't you start a thread on the quick board. Lets just see if you can add something positive and not just another political rant.

Jason, easy there young man. I post when I have something to write and only then. I start a thread when I have something to share, not just constant drivel, if I write and direct it at YOU, then I definitely have something to say. I don't think you have any idea of what the "richness of Badweb" is young man. Posts about art, music, current events are excellent. The problem is if anyone disagrees with what you post, you turn very defensive, attack, curse at them, read the user agreement again there pal.(I am aware of it as I did what you are doing once upon a time) You can call people names, you just inferred I am a monkey, and that is ok by your standard right? This monkey has MBA young man. Something I doubt you would have the stamina or the intelligence to complete considering your inflammatory style I have witness here.

In short, if you do not wish people to call you out for the drivel you spout, then don't spout it. I am not some internet tough guy young man, so I won't get into some back and forth with you. Truly don't have the time for the rest of this day, it is really nice in Florida today, got six bikes that need to be ridden over this holiday, and frankly you try, but you are not that interesting. All I have seen you do is make provocative statements, start a fight, then try and take some imagined moral high ground as if you are in some way superior to those you have provoked.

You think that adds richness? Maybe you should look that up again so you get the full meaning.

Anyway...gotta close up the computer now, there is a bike warming up and a road calling me. Have a bad day young man, I truly mean that from the heart. : )
