RT,

Unfortunately the stone is not for the man-cave. That would be another six ton. : ]

"Five tons down, one ton to go."
Ah,yah light weight.........
If you remember any pictures of my shack,I brought in 203,000 pounds of Quartzite for landscaping the banks that were too steep to mow. Pretty and cheap..about $6.00 a ton.Shipping was a whole nother matter. The North side was simply dumped over from the top of the bank with a skid loader and then raked down. The South side was ALL poured out of five gallon buckets. One friend helped for about a half an hour and split. The rest was on me. About 40 hours worth of bucketing the stuff. Was the only way to do it and not spend a fortune.......but then I'm known for doing things the hard/thrifty way.....

Hey,there's Buells in the back yard.......

Eek! I can see why you went with the quartzite over flagstone. It may only be 6 ton, but I gotta unload each individual stone, then stack 'em then the puzzle figuring commences for the couple hundred feet of walkway. I wonder if I can get some of that quartzite down here. For that price it's be a steal! I'm paying $120/ton for the flagstone and that's on sale.

Very nice place you have there!

Well....at least Darrell(the insulation bandit) won't eat the flagstone.

Trees look pretty cool this AM. Ice crystals growing off all the small branches up to about 1/4 inch long. You just don't see freezing fog that often around here.
