Ha, I remember the last day of my driving lessons. A five or six car collision with bodies all over the intersection. My instructor was knocked out cold. It was a block away from my school just before 9 when everybody was walking by.

Wasn't my fault. I had already stopped at the red, oncoming ran the red, guy coming through timed the green really well. They met in the middle, spun around ejecting both drivers and the one car continued into us and forced our car back into the cars behind us.

Ah, memories. I had my bike license long before my car's after that.

Your post, neither of my adult kids drive so it hasn't come up. I would probably pay for their insurance under their name rather than have it in my name.

I had to buy my first car... a 71 Dodge Dart.... man I miss that car. I had to pay my own insurance as well, although on that car it wasn't too bad. I wanted a motorcycle more than a car, but at the time my parents told me that they wanted me to have some kind of protection (cage) around me for the first few years of driving. Their explanation was that they wanted me to learn how stupid other people are out there before I could get a motorcycle. I couldn't really argue with that at the time.

Few years later I moved to FL to go to MMI, got me a motorcycle and the rest is history.

The bucket seat thing isn't gonna slow anyone down.... I got it on in the front seat of an old jetta with bucket seats, the more difficult it may seem to make happen, the more exciting it is to do it.... although the backseat of that dart had tons of room and that was exciting too, but that might have had more to do with where the car was parked at the time

Glad I had a cool Dad!
My first car was a 68 Javelin that would do about 140 mph!
Already had bought a Kawasaki Triple and had been riding it without a lic for 2 years(I bought it when I was 14).
When I was 14 my Dad took my to get my learners permit, in his Vette. Let me drive it home, hitting 130 mph within minutes of getting my permit.
He also showed me how to do burnouts!
I love my Dad!

Pammy,
it was an overgeneralized smart a$$ statement, i didnt mean to make anyone upset..but it has been proven that GENERALLY women get into more accidents than men...and also from my personal experience, MOST of the women ive seen and ridden with, are horrible drivers.
So dont take it personally, i was just tryin to make a funny, and i didnt mean any harm...

Regards
Jake

They just seem to be angrier, I don't know....maybe it's because they are pissed they have to go to work instead of stay home and cook for their husband?

Most of the guys in my neighborhood either don't have a license or can't afford a car so they just steal them and go to jail, then their significant other has to go to work to pay for the apartment, that is except for the two gay guys living next door, they both have cars and jobs so they can pay for the crazy parties they have every so often....
