The bill's sponsor asked that it be held back while he looks into some worries that people have about noise pollution and also about giving a private company that much recognition. Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press, a bill naming the official state microbe passed in a 7-1 vote. It's the germ that converts milk into cheese. Someone who lives in Wis. should send there local congessman a letter askhim to Veto it as Buell should also be in the running for official bike of Wisc. I am gonna ask for my congressman for it in NJ. Of course they won't listen but who cares I'll ask anyway | ||

Congressman don't veto, they vote no. If it makes it thru the state house and senate then goes to the governors desk, then write to him to veto is. | ||

If H-D is the official 'state motorcycle'.... then Buell should file for protected species status and an exemption to any further detriment. Their habitat should be reinstated, protected and encouraged to reproduce and indeed propogate new and innovative offspring | ||

A LOT of folks are RA,RA,RA H-D in WI. H-D can do no wrong in their eye's. A Bueller, or anyone else, could complain but it would really do little good. There going to do what there going to do in Madison. I'm sorry to say, the typical politician would never dare vote against H-D, it would be suicide. He or she would be better off bad-mouthing the Packers, LOL... | ||

What I find most ironic, is this first time I have heard about a state motorcycle here....this after Buell is gone! | ||

Does Harley actually build any bikes here in WI? the trikes are made in Tomahawk or at least they use to be made there when I toured that plant three years ago. Only motors are made in the Milwaukee area. Buell was the REAL Wisconsin motorcycle company, but Harley screwed that up! | ||

As a resident of WI, I am more pissed that time is being wasted discussing this sort of thing. (They are also trying to pass some microbe that aids the cheesemaking process as the "official state microbe") I'm glad life here in WI is so great that this is what my state is worried about.  | ||

I live in WI and rip on the Packers all the time! I make fun of my neighbors cuz they are packer fans etc. I like cheese, regardless if it comes from WI or not. I will never own a Harley again, but I'll be in the market for another Buell soon, and I will call it "Ian's motorcycle". | ||

Er... why does anyone care? Does anyone actually pay attention to state: bird, fruit, flower, etc? Sure, some of us know the answer, but in the grand scheme of things, what could possibly come of it?
