Oh, I don't treat the Uly like a doormat. Anything but, actually...when I got back from Buelltoberfest, she got a 10k service, 2 new shoes, and '07 fork springs along with a luggage rack for the topcase. Just in time for the trip to WI for Last Ride.
But the Uly just looks *right* with a nice, warm, protective coating of grime 
And the ol' S2 may be antiquated...but she'll still run with the best of 'em, and puts a grin on my face every time we go out for a ride! |

just keep the water underpressure( any pressure) away from your hubs and any other places where a bearing maybe.just an fyi from problems resolved decades ago with bearings and garden hoses. |

A dirty bike is not a sign of laziness, a dirty bike is a sign of someone who would rather ride than wash.
If I really wanted to clean and polish my bike I would have been a FAG and bought a harley- brmm brmm brmm |

I never said to polish anything but it takes a whopping ten minutes to wash your bike. I live in a state that has salt on the rodes 6 months a year. Salt = corrosion = bad things for motorcycles. |

I live in the Seattle metro sprawl. If it aint raining now, wait ten minutes or ride thirty minutes. You will meet rain. The saddle bags aint there for decoration, rain gear in there all year round.
My favorite thing is after a good rain... the spot where the bike was parked has a nice new dirty coat. I stopped by the shop two days ago, my old parking spot still has a dirty mark from years of parking there. |

Thankfully here in sunny south florida there is no need for salt on the roads, because there is no snow-lucky me!
I think that I shall leave the dirt there as it has started to grow on me, and maybe, when the road construction is done in my neighborhood, someday I will get up enough whatever it is that makes people wash their bikes. Either that or it will take a break down of some sort. I'm going with break down-of the mental persuasion! |
