I love all animals, but cats just bother me... I always get the feeling that when a house cat looks at you, he's trying to figure out a way to eat you. He's just not big enough.

Those guys are. As far as a land-going, non-pack hunting predator, there isn't much to compare.

Beautiful creatures.

It's funny that people (guys mostly) always make fun of cats and call them pansies. I cant count how many times I've heard how "my dog would kill your cat" Well no shit jack ass your dog weighs 110 pounds my cat weighs 10. I would truly like to turn a 110 lb cat loose on them and their stupid dogs and see how they do.

By the way carbon unless its your cat you are most likely right.

Cats are the ultimate land predator. Hands down no comparison, they posses uncanny strength and speed. Add powerful jaws and highly effective claws then you have one bad kitty.

No, my cats look @ me with that look. And the little b@$tards have bitten my nose a few times in what I can only perceive as an attempted test to see if they could eat me or not. (Or maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention to them? Who knows, they're psychotic!)

If that cat had been on you for 5 min you wouldn't be writing anything ever again.

well i got to go toe to toe with him to. thats why he isnt around anymore. atleast he was declawed...

wasnt really his fault though. my alcoholic(now ex) father in law decided he needed to try and teach bart some new tricks while he was drunk. bart had never been around him before. he was kept in his room when others were in the house. had been that way for along time. no reason for him to be wandering when others were over. except for a very select few friends.

gary just wandered off and walked into barts room and started yelling at him and waving his hands around telling him to sit and roll over like he was a damn domestic dog. idiot. bart just hissed at him and sat in the corner. when he wouldnt listen gary walked over and smacked bart(i saw all this from across the house) bart bit his hand and went back to his corner. as far as i was concerned that was a warning. well being a drunken idiot gary went back at bart again and smacked him. gary is about my height, 6'1"- or so. bart stood up on his back legs. put his front paws on garys shoulders and knocked him across the damn room and had him pinned against the wall. hissing only a few inches from his face.

he then got down, turned around and walked back to his corner. (warning number 2, you really dont ever get a second warning) by that time i had finally made it into the room as gary, having not learned his lesson, was about to charge at my damn cougar. what an idiot. so i got in front of him and slammed him against the wall as bart was starting to make a move at him. ya good timing on my part so instead i got to be stuck between a pissed of cougar and a drunken retard. bart was damn near climbing my side. i had gary in one hand and bart by the damn neck in the other. neither of them were happy. needless to say i wasnt either. bart backed off after a minute and me yelling at him though. ya i couldnt have stopped him if he decided he really wanted to go for it. all i can figure is he decided he didnt want gary bad enough to have to go through me(the guy that had raised him) to get at him

but he was never right after that. it messed with his head. he quit trusting everyone. even me after awhile. got to where i couldnt even get in the room with him. not even to feed him. i had to put him down. i would have rather put gary down...

No_rice, WTF are you doing playing with lions and wolves...????

why not?! its interesting. and they are amazing animals!!! i still have one wolf. have had him for a looooong time. hes been around longer then my 10yr old daughter. he's her biggest protector and has proven it.

Whoa, crazy story!

I guess my real question though is how do you have these animals? Does Iowa not have laws against it, or do you have some kind of license, or what?

i have no idea what the laws are anymore. dont have the big home to play like i used to.

and even then, this is iowa. you can do mostly what you want... little towns where you grew up with the whole police force and things like that... but if i remember right you had to have x amount before you needed a license.

i never had an licenses. also had a lynx, and a black bear cub for awhile too. when i got him he would curl up and sleep in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, lol. i only bought him to raise for a bit and sell to some friends of mine.

i had a friend that had 3 Caiman's living in her house. they had free roam. she had a kiddie wading pool in the middle of one of her rooms for the to lay in when they wanted. they were a little different.

another friend still has a coatimundi, a pet bat, and a bobcat
