http://shop.buellhomecoming.com/ Hello everyone! This next year will be my first time to make it to Homecoming and i'm very excited to have the chance to finally get out there and meet some of you guys and gals! As many of y'all know we NEED to sell 150 banquet tickets before 12-28-09 to ensure we can reserve the Alpine Valley Resort (which offers a good place for the banquet dinner and concert from Erik's band, as well as cheaper room rates) To help encourage folks to buy there tickets ASAP, XB Lights will be giving away one free light voucher ($205 value!) to the Homecoming committee to be given away during the Homecoming event. To be eligible to win, you MUST buy your banquet ticket ON or BEFORE December 28th, 2009. I'm not sure how Rocco, Steve or dana want to handle the drawing/door gifts, but those details will come later. As well, if anyone is interested in purchasing a tail light and would want me to bring it up there to deliver please let me know. Please email me and we can work out the details (including extra $$$$ saving details) Thank You and ride safe!!! -Robert www.xblights.com xblights@yahoo.com Free light to be given away will be standard option #1 or #3 on products page of site. At additional cost to winner, you can upgrade to ANY of the other options. Light will be built and mailed 2 to 4 weeks after homecoming, winner must pay shipping (Message edited by rah7777777 on December 05, 2009) |

So you are saying anyone that buys a ticket before the 28th will get a free tail light? That is how I read it anyways. Jimmy |

Hahahaha . . . IT DOES look like a hell of a deal but I **THINK** the intent is that Robert will donate ONE LIGHT to the effort to be awarded to ONE PERSON who purchases a dinner ticket before the deadline. I've already got my tickets but this is nearly too good a deal . . . I'm going to buy two spares to be donated to the cause. Dave/Steve/Rocco can give them to someone. I'm willing to ante up $70 to see this a success. This has all the making of bringing back the memories of Homecoming from long, long ago . . . . an annual event where folks, driven by a common passion, travel far, create magical stories, set aside personal differences and spend several days and nights celebrating their common passion. No corporate schedules or fluff . . . . just good old fashioned "Buell-Centric" Fun. I'll toss one more thing in the bag . . . . anyone signing up before the deadline is AUTOMATICALLY . . . no kidding . . .it's almost magical . . . it just happens . . . is signed up for the "Court & Dave Old Time Buell Test Rider Route Tour" wherein we will lead you on a ride that variously offers beauty, excitement and a glimpse at why some of your Buell are such a pleasure to ride on public roads. You get it all . . . the sights, insights and some fun stories . . all you miss is the stupid tricks that our youth tried to lure us into. Dave has also agreed to buy soft drinks for everyone at the half way point . . . . (remind me to tell him he's agreed to do that) and the ride will pass all the historical Buell facilities. For $35 ? ? ? . . it's almost like stealing! |

The light is one of the many door prizes that is being offered. XB Lights offer is to only those that purchase ON OR BEFORE December 28th to win ONE light he has donated. Just another BUELL enthusiast that wants the event to succeed Very cool indeed. Courts offer is very cool as well. I wonder if we should use the tickets for a former employee. I was also thinking of using them for a recently returned Military member so they can attend the banquet for free. We'll figure si=omething out. Thanks to both of you for going above and beyond. |

Rocco, I have a suspicion that come 12/28, you will have a "surplus" of tickets that some folks have bought but won't be able to use. (I'm already planning on buying extra once I finalize how many I need. $35 a ticket won't break the bank.) My "vote" if I may is that both of your ideas are great for the former employees & returning military. Maybe set up a "ticket donation" option when purchasing tickets? |

I have never been to homecoming...When does it take place and it is at the Buell factory right? Are the ticket really $35? If it is held in July or August I should be able to make it. |

Anybody know what's going to happen on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning? I'm trying to decide whether to come up on Thursday or Friday morning (As if I really need to justify the expense to myself...) |

Court - you're not gonna ride Erik's bike into that field again, are you? It worked out so well for you this past summer...LOL We've got our room reserved already. Just need to get Kim some seat time so she can pilot her M2L on her own this time around! Can't wait for the routes...and for the soft drinks (thanks, Dave!). |

Milt, Thursday and Friday (nite of the Banquet) will consist of local rides, events at Hal's, tour of Erik's new place, Mississippi River Ride (if enough interest), possible track day (Thursday or Wednesday). We are trying to think of some other things to do as well. |

I just purchased one. I may or may not buy a second before the big deadline. Said I was order number 49. Assuming a handful of people bought more than one, I'd say that means you almost half way there?! Is there any way to get the event info posted on the front page of Buell.com or ErikBuellRacing.com? This could be made much larger if it was taken beyond Badweb. |

And court, your offer is very cool. A "Historic Buell Tour" is very cool! The 2 extra tickets are VERY awesome. I've got another offer from someone who can't make it, but want to purchase 2 tickets for 2 Buell employees. I think Dana, Rocco, and myself know of a great couple that could put those to good use! |

I just signed up for my meal ticket. Would be cool to see if there is enough interest of setting up a trucking group to pick bikes up and bring them from the west coast to east troy. I don't have enough vacation to take off enough time to ride out there. I will probably fly in. I would like to have either my S2 or my CR back to see where it was born. My M2 visited its birth place a couple of years ago. Thanks REx

Here's an Idea: Why not buy a Dinner Reservation for somebody as a Christmas Present? |

Krik Toppel(Owner of Hals), used to own a trucking company. I'll ask Bud Curtis what they could do for you guys. Crusty, the Christmas present is an AWESOME idea! Let's keep 'em coming. 1 more, and we're 1/2 way there! |

Is there a list of returning service men or women out there who would like to attend? As well, as list of laid off buell workers who would like to join in? |
