Step across the line from purchaser to seller of his fine motorcycles.

I couldn't be satisfied just owning one. I had to try to get as many people as I could on one.

It has inspired me to build and design an engine from the ground up. Yea, yea, I get that’s impossible, & you’re not capable of doing that statement from allot of people. Yes it’s going to be awhile before I get it to work. Will it work right? We’ll see.

What has Erik Buell inspired you to do?

Not really inspired me, but between him and Court, I have changed the ways I look at things and handle situations. I try to apply the Buell values to my daily life and work.

Court said something like "Don't come to me with problems, but come to me with solutions" or something like that. It has gotten me out of jams before, and I feel it has improved my work environment. : )

he has inspired to change the way I think. Solutions are everywhere, problems are rare.

Live for life.

And ride like a professional.

I also am building up to my own business...motorcycles of course....starting with the shadetree mechanic....ending with development : )

he makes it seem like a life without at least attempting to realize your dream is a fruitless life. Inspiration a plenty

He did inspire me to spend a large amount of time and money on my bike. It has definitely been worth it, as it has remained the funnest street bike I've rode to date.

I'm hoping to do more track days and learn to make the most of it. It's fun being the underdog on a 13 year old bike using what is essentially a 23 year old engine design and a chassis also originating 23 years ago.

I do get tired of people telling me to get a better handling, lighter, and more powerful bike.

It handles better than I can ride it, weight is no different than most modern sport bikes, and it has plenty of power for me!

I'm inspired to become more like Chuck Norris.

That way, if anyone tries to do to me what the Moco did to Erik, I'd Chuck the heyull outta them.

; )

Seriously- having met Erik only twice, but also having met Tony Stefanelli and several of Erik's core group (including the crew working the dealer ride event at Barber), I'm inspired to become more like ALL of them. Every one of them had a unique passion and a great outlook on what they did for Buell Motors.

I'm inspired to live by Erik's example, by his proxies/employees, and to emulate much of the good folks active here on Badweb.

- Buy an XB
- Apply the Mass Centralization concept wherever possible and as a philosophy for life
- Get back up
- Enjoy the ride regardless of circumstance
- Sometimes the ends are worth the most challenging and mundane means

Can't say he's inspired me to anything particularly, but he's confirmed my views on life.

Live it your own way, nothing is beyond you if you want it badly enough, & most important of all when you go down, get back up again.

Erik? Nothing really.

But the H-D service centers around here inspired me to learn how to work on my own bike, which is a pretty cool accomplishment. Now I feel all greasemonkey-ish. Does that count?

I'm with CityX, only I have an advantage since I can see the peak from where I live. He does have the experience, though.

Actually, I've found inspiration from Erik through his bikes to simply try a little harder, dream a little more, and take some more chances.

Follow ideas through to their fruition, regardless what others think.

Knowing that just because something hasn't been done before doesn't mean it can't be done.

The path of least resistance is quite likely as boring as hell, with a lot of traffic and few curves.

These are things that were not new to me, but are certainly evident in every detail of my XB, which still has the same power to hold me spellbound as it did the day I bought it. There hasn't been a single time I've ridden it that I didn't silently give credit for a job well done to Erik and the Elves. That is the sort of thing that is born of vision and passion, and THAT has inspired me to:

Pursue the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and convince her to marry me.

Become a better musician, and work on that craft daily to keep myself sharp and able to make whoever I'm playing with sound better than they thought they were.

Keep refining my valvetrain innovation which uses no valve springs, no camshafts, and is able to change lift and duration during operation. I just love having some blow hard tell me how 'there's no way dat ting's gonna work', then watch their jaw drop when I show them the demonstration rig I have set up.....................

To buy A motorcycle and learn to ride it (Blast). Then to buy A better motorcycle (XB) and learn to ride it. Now to find A way to buy an 1125r... Never wanted A harley or foreign bike if it wasn't for Buell I would've never rode..
