Painted lines creep me out, just like tar snakes.

Well worn smooth two lane blacktop with plenty of room to see any,(very little), traffic ahead on a Sunday afternoon with the sun shining. Plenty of twisties and elevation changes. Can't get any better then that for me and what is the ultimate 1125 playground. Bob

My favorite road has a bunch of twisties and few cattle guards thrown in for good measure. They are usually not a problem except some moron decided that the apex of a turn would be a good location for a slippery piece of steel. These cause a good bit of pucker reflex.

Ya, 36 degrees ambient today according to the CR instrument panel. Cold roads and DC-III tires - regardless of how "warmed up" I got 'em - don't inspire confidence.

Babired

You beat me to it....cold rubber and cold road (no matter what surface) = bad combination.

Twice last week while downshifting for the first stop light in the morning, the back end started to walk out on me a little bit. I'm still half asleep that early but the back wheel not staying where its supposed to will wake you up in a hurry.
