Does anyone know what will the factory product after stopping? Who will work there?

Erik Buell Racing will be using one of the buildings. The rest will sit empty.

As far as who will work there, most of the production folks have been or will be laid off. A small number of people will be hired by Erik Buell Racing.

The Buell Drive factory was a leased property. Once HD's lease runs out...it'll revert to whoever owns it. 2799 will continue to be used by EBR, as noted above (2799 is the current R&D / Admin building if I recall correctly, it sits next to / behind the actual factory).

Yes, all the Buell buildings were leased. Erik Buell Racing will be leasing only one of 5 bays in the 2799 building, which is unit C.

The buildings . . 2719 and 2799 . . will soon be empty and the contents gone.

There will be a small "wind down" crew remaining after December 18th.

Erik Buell Racing has 14,400 square foot (one of the bays in 2799) which have been leased from the developer. Harley-Davidson bought out the rest of their remaining lease and the EBR transaction is not related in anyway to HD, it was a convenient and empty space.

Inventory will be received in the coming month.

Just for my own curiosity, at maximum growth/size, what was to total used square footage of BMC? 100,000 sq ft?

So they won't even be using a whole building?

I have an image in my mind of Erik's desk with an engine on an engine stand sitting on it, a quart of oil next to a coffee cup, and a bike chassis hanging in a roll-a-round support rack sitting behind him that he bumps his elbow on everytime he answers his phone. Keyboard and mouse are competing for desktop space with sketchpads and tools.

Maybe my imagination is overly active.

It would be interesting to know who will transition initially to the new team. I imagine any *@buell.com email addresses external folks have will begin bouncing back fairly soon.
