It seems everyone is miserable with the economy, their jobs or lack there of,HD F@%$&ing over Buell, coworkers are negative on just about anything even if its good news. Constant piss and moan and I'm trying to be positive but its getting frustrating, maybe I should go into "construction"
My father and grandparents seemed to mend whatever fences they needed to mend and my grandparents came to visit for the first time in years, so it was good to have them.
I finally got my new-to-me S3T back from the shop and despite the low-40s temps and light rain today I got some good miles on it today.
My job seems stable, pay is good, life is grand.
...and...
HOMECOMING 2010! First ever for me and looking way forward to it.
I had today off from work. It didn't snow today. I went by a friend's shop, and saw old friends that I havent seen in a long time. Homecoming is on for June 16 - 20! I figured out what to get my wife for Christmas! My garage is full of motorcycles - 3 Buells and a Moto Guzzi. I live in one of the best places in the world. I didn't go into a mall on Black Friday! Nana's Pizza in Everett, MA is in a class of its own! I'm going out for a ride on my bike tomorrow!
Just hop on the Buell and go for a ride. All the negativity will vanish and then it will just be you and the bike. Any day you get to ride is a good day.
Here's a few... -Family is happy and healthy, enjoyed the holiday together -Have the whole weekend off! -Beautiful weather, rode the Uly today and loved it -Also rode the beemer, felt like a toy in comparison to the Uly -Found a new battery for the City-x today, should be able to ride it tomorrow -Slept in, had pumpkin pie with my morning coffee and avoided the mall like the plague -Optimistic about 2010 and the new opportunities it may bring! -Get to see my MN family and friends next month! B.
My oldest son met my girlfriend today(after 11 months of refusing to meet her), it was a nice touching kinda moment, then he called me and asked me what I thought about him quitting his job, which I think is a good thing as I want to encourage him to finish his education.
My youngest son came over tonight and made some plans with me to finish my basement and garage.
My family and my Italian girlfriends family came to my house and my family had our first(mine included) Italian Thanksgiving dinner! My beautiful girlfriends dad was serving up the pasta with meatballs and sausage, now THAT was NEAT! Then when everybody left there was lots of hugging and kissing goodbye amongst the gathered group of almost virtual strangers.
I walked out to the garage tonight and while standing in the darkness I was blessed by how fresh the air was tonight, a strangly sweet smell.
Life is good!
You see, all the good news is about ME! Now go make some yourself!
froggy just fixed my oulook wife finally goes to work on monday after almost 6 months off(sucked) off 4 days this week and only had to put out a day and a half of vacation to have it. buddy is starting to feel better after being rear ended on his bike a week and a half ago. (bike totaled but no broken bones) i might be able to fit one more bike in my garage if i didn't want to do anymore laundry. granddaughter has two teeth. no kids at home anymore.(still don't run around the house neked) haven't come down with the flu(knock on wood) if i should bitch about anything, someone should take a baseball bat across my head.
Lemonchili and I finally put up back steps onto our deck today! Wahoo! No more lifting dogs up and down and going 'the long way' around the house.
We talked last night about our trip over to see you all at Homecoming next year and how we could manage it. It looks like a better possibility every day. We got a new ps2 for tonight (the dog vomited on the last one)
I am finally starting to set up my own business from home doing what I want, rather than what I have to.
We are sitting in our new loungeroom with a frosty glass of Jim Beam and life is good
Hey Bikertrash, If you ever need someone to ride with, I am in Hartford (soon to be Slinger). I'm always looking for someone to ride with, as my riding buddy has moved to Tosa.
It is refreshing to hear folks talking about good things. I've always wanted to start a news channel about nothing but good things from around the country instead of doom and gloom.....
I've had the last 5 days off from work and only had to burn 2 days of vacation.
Wife's mom has been down from PA for the last week and sitting down to eat as a family has been very refreshing. I wish we could do it more often. Especially with homemade vittles!
I got to visit, ever so briefly, with an aunt and uncle I haven't seen for over 20 years. They travel around the country with their 5-ver doing construction for churches. I forget the company they do it for. RCIS or something like that.
I have a very good, stable job. I wish everyone did. It gets ugly as you get away from Fort Rucker. Unemployment is getting worse in my opinion. There really are a ton of folks out of work.
The weather has been so good that I have rode my bike everyday for the last 3 weeks. I really hate filling up the SuperDuty with diesel. I have saved a ton of cash riding the bike.
Pipes, Graters, and heat barriers are selling well. For that I am thankful. I was going to raise my prices the first of the year but I know times are tough for a lot of folks and their bike is sometimes the only relaxation they have. So, I'm leaving prices where they are so I can help bring a smile to some faces while money is tight.

I imagine you yourself wanted some good news and, not to be a smartass but he's right, if you're posting here today, you woke up again, thats a good start, and the rest of the day can't be all bad. Much of the rest of the days ahead is up to you. Stay positive my friend. Eat, sleep, ride when you can, and repeat as necessary. Bob
Beautiful clear day yesterday. Went on a road trip to the old Route 66 vintage bike museum. When I got home ......there was dozen hedge apples in the back of my truck and a S1 Buell............ that some of you may know as "Suzie Q"..........
