I received a copy of the book yesterday from amazon. I made it home after 8pm from work and stayed up till just past 1am reading the whole book. It is supposed to be a Christmas present for me from the wifey, she was nice enough to let me "look at it for awhile". I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Court and Dave Gess for all the time and heart they put into the book. To anyone who does not have the book yet, your Buell collection is incomplete without it. I look forward to the next book, a few years down the line. Yep, it's a great read. I've got one "reader"...and one that a few guys scribbled all over that just sits on the shelf I still think the next one needs to be "The Reminder", for Court and his "remind me to tell you sometime..." posts! |

Zac at work let me borrow it for a perusal while I order it for myself. He got it at the 25th anniversary signed by Court, Dave & Erik. I too had trouble putting it down. Having experience in engineering at skunk works in a couple different companies, I get caught up in the early days. How fortunate there are photos of much of the initial work and development. The thoroughness of the details is amazing. Memory fades, facts blur and time robs us of the past. This chronicle of the first 25 years of Buell will be on my bookshelf for life. ~jammer |
