Why is Obama dithering on taking away our guns and ammo? Everybody "knows" that he is going to, right? And since everybody knows this, the 250,000,000 gun owners in this country have been stockpiling ammo like there is no tomorrow. In fact, ammo shelves are looking like the grocery shelves right before a big hurricane makes landfall. There simply is no more ammo left because everybody bought it up fearing that there would be no ammo left. The gun-rights crowd aren't self-deluding nut jobs, just self-fulfilling prophets. Last year, gold increased in value by 52%! But that paled by comparison to ammo, which tripled in value!!! So, considering the dollar is tanking and is nearly worthless, why don't we start using ammo instead? Hey, it already comes in handy denominations: .22, .32, .38, .45, etc.,...so let's ditch the dirty paper that is backed only by our faith in our country and replace it with bullets, because their value is backed by something that has shown no sign of declining...the irrational fear of Barack Obama. | ||

Could be! It may have to be electric though. I'm not sure about the viability for the internal combustion engine on the moon. It could be a great market for the dirt bike. Imagine roostin' all that moon dust in low gravity!  | ||

Right after the election, gun stores were crowded with guys in Obama shirts buying Ak/s & Ar's. On one news bit, the guy, wearing an Obama shirt, said he was buying a gun because they were going to make it illegal. I think he's waiting for 2011, after the next election. The health care bill from the house, has the taxes & money manipulation taking place immediately, but any real change that you would feel, doesn't happen till after the election either. Probably a wise strategy, considering people won't like either "change", IMHO. Don't worry about stocking up for the apocalypse, but consider, in a barter economy, .22 LR ammo will always be worth something in a trade for food, etc. A boxed up reloading kit with bullets, brass, & powder? Real Value. | ||

The guns are back, but the ammo still hasn't caught up yet. If you're looking for a deal on a AR15 or similar rifle, dealers are starting to get a glut of them, along with people selling used due to no civil unrest. Ammo is still hard to get or really expensive. As I understand it there is a big shortage of primers, so even those who reload are having a hard go of things. There are a few Russian ammo makers that you can buy from if your gun doesn't mind steel cased ammo. It's a damn shame we can't buy surplus from the military or bring ammo in from China. | ||

Chinese ammo have lead, dangerous. More dangerous than your 6 year old trying to eat a Minisooter ! I can get all the Russian ammo I wants. Problem is the Tokarev has a NASTY habit of jammin, no matter how clean it is. | ||

Com Bloc weapons are the way to go. Surplus military ammo in 7.62x39 and 7.62x54R are still plentiful and relatively inexpensive. I like using M855 or SS109 in the AR. That stuff is tough to come by and expensive these days...damn insurgents absorbing my precious ammo... | ||

Article 1, Section 8 Tenth Amendment The health care system is already wrecked, so how has he wrecked it further? The majority of the population is satisfied with the healthcare system and 83% rated the care they received in the last year as excellent or good. Majority of Americans Satisfied With Their Healthcare Plans The number who are "chronically uninsured" is 12M or fewer. As a percent of the population, that is 4% or less. Obama is now proposing to ruin healthcare for that 83% in order to provide equally crappy care for the 4%. And do you really think that a gun, any gun is going to help you against a government run awry? You are dreamin' man. Yes. Armed civilians are the ONLY antidote to a government run awry. The founding fathers new this, and history proves this out. I know that he is a pragmatic, moderate man who does NOT act first and think later...unlike his predecessor. Now that's some funny shit right there. You are right in one respect, he has a "plan". Ultimately, that plan is not only against the Constitution but is against the will of the people. It's all about being ready for the zombie apocalypse. All those people who deny the virus created zombies exist are just flat earthers, and don't know anything about science. It's in the U.N. report. ( or was it that new Xbox game? ) I forget, was it Zombies, Global warming, or right wing radicals ( who believe in less government or constitutional rights ) the Dept. of Homeland Security warned all the police dept's about? Oh, yeah, right wing terrorists. Never mind the zombie thing, prepare for the right wing extreemist terrorist Glenn Beck listeners! Yeah that's it. On a serious note, the Beck prediction seems to be a major crackdown on rights & guns right after the first cretin shoots a politician. Or uses violence to defend himself against an acorn/union thug beating some guy at a "right wing nutjob" rally. Either will do to declare an emergency & toss the law out the window. Now Beck is a bit melodramatic. Boring guys don't stay on the air. But he did more or less predict the recession. As did anyone with a brain, except economists. ( they seem to find gravity unexpected ) And...he's right that some jerk who uses violence to effect political change will probably get a very violent reaction from this current crowd. So please, if you are about to snap, just quit listening to the news for a while, and have a nice hot bath & rum toddy. |
