One comment I've been hearing lately relative to PC'edness is the fact that people do not have a right to not be offended. So many of the applications of PC'edness is to not offend someone. The U.S. Bill of Rights does not have a clause that states "You have a right to not be offended". But the whiners have the podium at the moment. Thing is though that come Christmas and birthday times the whiners get less than the non-whiners. And, yeah, I said "Christmas" in this post instead of using the PC'd 'Holidays'. if that offends you then "no soup for you". | ||

Well, my poll indicated 100% of the respondents didn't care what they call the darned tree because it's a pagan tradition that has nothing to do with the life of Jesus anyway. Of course, the sample pool was small and self-selecting, but why let that get in the way of a perfectly good factoid? | ||

Look if I say something and you are offended by it and your day cant go on, and you want to moan biatch and whine about it.... could you please just go martyr yourself in the back yard with a can of cas and roadflare. I was talking to a veteran yesterday about our time when we served and the rampant political correctness concerning racism, and how NCO's and officers were so afraid of calling out those militant black men who displayed open racism. They were mostly draftees who were given a choice in court for theyre offences, of 5 years in prison or three years in the army (no, not much of a choice) but they took the obvious one and that is what we had to serve with...the NCO's and officers too, it was a different time in the military (the early 70's). There was a stark fear of being seen as a racist or the word even being brought forth in a courts martial proceeding, so the greatest care was taken to avoid it. I saw it along with other veterans I have spoken to. The same thing will exist over the muslim soldiers now serving. No one will want to be seen impinging on anyones religious prefference, even in the case to be tried at fort hood, watch and see. | ||

Hey hey hey there - easy with that religious talk - this is a public forum! I don't think you can say Mehorah if you can't say Christmas Tree. I think it will probably be a Holiday-related celebratory candle receptacle. I'm afraid I don't know enough about Kwanzaa to make an appropriate (or inappropriate?) comment about that. | ||

PC... Another issue taken on by South Park. The parents hated on the Christmas pageant and it ended up being the kids wearing grey jumpsuits and twirling around a shark tank with their arms out.
