At least 25 gallons were kicked up by the probe that crashed into the Moon last month.

This is exciting news as this could lead to a permanent moonbase in the south polar region of the Moon. Next thing we will be digging up monoliths buried under the surface.

Rumor has it that there was one moon snail living in that water that was displaced, and until proof is offered otherwise it will be assumed that moon snails are an endangered species. As soon as the EPA, along with a coalition of international natural resource agency officials and investigators, can arrange for inspectors to visit the site and assess the presence of any moon snails all further research in this aspect of moon research is hereby prohibited from engaging in any further activities relative to moon research. One member of the internation committee introduced a bill to protect any spotted owls on the moon as well, but that was tabled until evidence of trees can be found wherein the spotted owls live. Closed committee meetings came to the general concensus that spotted owls probably subsisted on moon snails since there is no evidence of any mice on the moon (lack of mice on the moon became accepted fact once the speculation that the moon was made of cheese was proven unfounded). The committee surmised that the lack of moon snails lead to a decrease of any spotted owls and that if there is to be any hope of repopulating the moon with spotted owls then all efforts must be made to protect moon snails, if any moon snails actually exist.

Mike,\
My neighbor an I had the very same idea thread going about an hour ago! No kidding.
My comment was that now the greenies and EPA would prevent anyone from going to the moon....

I'll bet that it WILL come to pass!

This does not surprise me at all. There is probably oil up there too,as well as anything else here on earth. It's just all dusted over from being basically dead on the surface for eons.

"Could Harley prevent Erik from building bikes on the moon and importing them?!?!?"

Importing them to Earth would be awfully expensive, but when we return to the Moon to stay we'll need ways to get around. How about an electric Uly?

25 gallons of water on the moon would flush 2 toilets like the ones in my home approximately 7.8125 times each. Oh crap, I forgot to factor in gravity since it's moon water.

OK the weight of water is approx. 8.35 pounds per gallon on earth. That means the weight of water on the moon (factoring in the gravitational force on the moon) would be about 1.3 lbs per gallon........Aw forget it.

Are there aliens on the moon and if they had enough water would they use and flush a toilet?

we are the only life forms known that actually flush a toilet (not counting that cat) so if ya wanna go to the moon yer brobly gonna smell some ass.

The article talked about enough water for drinking and for rocket fuel. Look at the moon.
