I'd much rather ride - even a measly Blast

No such thing as a measly Blast, I remember a young lady that made the trip from the North East on a Blast during the 25th.

To tell you the truth I would have more respect for someone that rode a Blast or Tuber to Homecoming than anything else. That, coming from the guy that rode a Uly to Homecoming last summer,,,, I'm lame.

Sphere,
The Be-last ain't measly. I loved mine. I'm planning on going next year, and if you're riding out from CT let me know. I'm in Philly (Doh!) and I'll meet you along the way.
I'll even keep the speeds under 100 so you can keep up. ; )

If us horn players didn't learn how to play guitar we'd end up looking like Clarence Clemons banging a tamborine every other song! Besides, someone has to tune those things for you guys.: D

the Buell Blast is one of the most dependable motorcycles ever made! It can easily handle the road trip to homecoming!

I love my Blast, it's been a great bike - it was my daily driver for a long time. It was supposed to be just an entry point for me but I just can't justify another bike financially at the moment. I really don't see myself ever getting rid of it, only adding an XB model when the time comes.

I'm totally prepared for the Homecoming trek - as soon as I get a seat upgrade.

Phillyblast - if I disappoint the wife (she says she's not jealous she'd just miss me) and go I'll definitely meet up with you. You may have to keep it under 95 though, I lost a little top-end with the mods.....

Philly, I'm stealing that one!
The only guys that catch more crap than us horn players is the drummer.....

"I'd much rather ride - even a measly Blast"

We have a Blast, named PePe', that won first place in drags at Sturgis spanking 883 Sportsters all day. A $5,000 motorcycle we spent $6,000 on the head & cylinder, but a Blast none the less.

You keep dissing Blast's and PePe' may have to seek you out and put you in your place.

What I need is PePe' the next time someone give's me crap for riding the Be-last, beginner's, "girls" bike. I usually just tell them that I keep my balls in my jeans, not in my garage. Of course I realize when I get my XB Buell I'll probably still get crap from some riders. That's OK, I'm riding for me - not to impress anyone.

I remember one time I passed a guy in a Dodge Ram as we were going down some winding back roads. He didn't like that and suddenly decided he needed to pick it up and dangerously ride my ass. The biggest, sharpest turn was coming and I was like "yea lets see you maintain your speed through this one" as I sliced it without losing any momentum and he was forced to back waaaay off. Yea, that's what I thought.
