my daughter was in the hospital on tuesday for the swine flu. she seems to be getting better!

I hope she's on the mend!

Can I just ask a quick question - did they actually run the test for Swine Flu? According to an article (on good ol' CBS, BTW) a lot of the statistics on Swine Flu are based on "assumed" cases, because they stopped testing for it once it was declared a pandemic.

Just looking for some reliable first-hand info. I don't trust any media anymore.

Sad.

Anyway, I hope she feels better!

I spent the night with my little sister last Thursday to position myself for an early morning 1st grade Thanksgiving program my girlfriends daughter was in.

Well, my little sister gets the flu bad Friday afternoon, and the girlfriends daughter comes down with the flu today.

I so far have dodged the flu bullet again!

I had H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu). I developed a fever on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and didn't return to work until November 2. I believe it's the sickest I've been since 1980. (I don't count injuries - they're in their own category)
However, my friends sent me the picture I posted, and my wife gave me a Beanie Babies Pig named Sniffs.
I don't believe that I'll get a Flu shot this year.

yes she seems to be feeling better!

and they aparently did actually test her for it.

but a couple other people i know were supposedly all diagnosed with it over the phone, and the doctors said they didnt need to see them.

They did on my son when he got it.

I got the H1N1 shot last Mon no big deal.

And as to why over 64 wasn't the highest priority is because it is spreading the slowest in that age bracket whether it be due to immunity or just the fact that they don't have kids living at home.
