And came across this BUELL DRIVING LAMP KIT.

Notice any issues with this picture?

Maybe the 6 inches of suspension travel, and only 3 inches between the lights and the fender?

It's ok though, their description says they've sold hundreds of kits to people with this exact vehicle.

I was thinking of making a new fender and molding lights into the sides so that there wouldn't be clearance issues. Hella has some really nice small round fog lights (micro DE), I have them on my car and they are pretty damn good.

Greg you can use longer screws and just use your stock fender

Nope, I don't want it to look that bulbous so I want to mold it in as close as possible.

My big concern is the 110 watt draw.

But that is way down the list of things to do unless I pick up a set of lights and a fiberglass fender really cheap.

Also if the Micro DE are mounted sideways like that they will spread the beam in the vertical direction, I don't think they have a side mount option.

Well electrical draw isn't an issue, I draw something in the area of 300w on mine : )

I purchased some compact HID's at Trail Tech. They were relatively cheap, for HID and I was concerned they might not hold up but so far, they haven't failed.
