Yep
Neil (Nevrenuf)rolled in here this afternoon from Mufreesboro grinnin' like a possum.
Riding his wifes new Scg. Very nice looking bike.
Now, he had all these reasons for coming all the way from Florida up here to Tennessee to buy a bike. I just smiled and nodded agreeably.
I know the real reason though. He's going to get a lot of miles on it before Diane sees it. I think he's afraid that once she sees it, she'll collect the keys.
It wouldn't be proper to mention what happed the last time he rode her bike. As a matter fact that was the last time ANYBODY rode that bike.
Maybe not though, she's probably forgotten all about that by now.
He'll be heading South in the morning. It was nice to have him for a bit of a visit. Super nice guy with a growing Buell collection AND a very patient and sympathetic spouse!

Just got back from a "little see off" ride.
He's heading down I-75, in the rain. The radar looks like it'll be pretty soggy for a while. He doesn't care. Must be that BadWeather thing.
He's still grinnin'!

Congrats! Hope you get to enjoy some of the fine Tennessee roads while you're here. It's raining in the East today, so that Deal's Gap visit might be a little damp. : )

Congrats Neil and Diane!

I hope you didn't feel the need to pack the Bengay for this ride! Save it for passing around the campfire, OK?

Would you settle for a Sugar Daddy!

Neil, great choice. I picked one up for Lynn as well.

I am still in the process of work the height issue. So far, taller boots and reworking the seat. The suspension will be the last thing I touch beyond the pre-load adjustment. Lynn really got a kick out of riding it with nothing more than a seat pan to sit on.

Have a safe and fun journey home my friend and see you at Homecoming, again!

thanks all, she was pretty stoked to see it come home. did a b-line for home after leaving ed's(rotzaruk) yesterday morning and although the bike isn't built for me because of the leg problems i deal with i was still able to make it work for the 600 miles i did. and as soon as i did get home yesterday, we went over to our sons place to have dinner with him and his fiance. so it was a really long day and to top things off we had to get up and go over to orlando to pick one more thing up over there. the deal was just to good to pass up and like a lot of you, your devotion to the brand won out over my decision to bite the bullet and go a little further into debt for this. i can only hope that things will pick up and allow us to help keep the spirit of the ride going and not have to give any of the bikes up.

along with his sister

and of course the rest of the herd.

and believe it or not, no two bikes are touching.

no char, were just stupid. giving up a little of the retirement and just hoping that things don't go any further down hill with the purchase of the "r". right now i'm taking a gamble. but if one has to go, it might just be the ultra that would go first if any. the light blue bike is actually an 83 fxrt that needs to be restored. this is a bike that erik was part of putting together when he was with h-d. it's not worth anything right now to anyone but me. so that one will never go.

tom, really appreciate the bags. we have those saddle bags for the blast and work great. and going ahead and getting the tail pack really made life easier for the ride home. the only problem was one of the rain covers took a beating and ripped. but they stayed on in the rain yesterday. thanks for the hospitality and look forward to getting up that way again. you gotta great bunch of people up there.

I think the bags look great. Not really a fan of most luggage solutions, but they actually enhance the look as well as being practical.

vamp/frank, i think the bags look great with the bike. and with me, once you have bags of any type, there is no going back. you have to have them. it's good that these are expandible also. even the tail bag expands. i've always been one for something that functions. i don't care what it looks like.

hey char, if you find a sugar daddy, will you see if he has a brother for my wife. she still isn't working yet either.

I'm with you on that one Neil, I put the top-box back on Zed when I was going back to school for prac-work, and now I'm finished it can't come off.
I'm too used to having luggage space. I've only just got my car licence, so I only ever had the bike for picking stuff up. I hate the look
of it, but practical beats aesthetic in this case. That said, I really LIKE the look of those bags. The red compliments the bike without making it
look overpacked, bulky or sissy!

if it weren't for dumb luck,i'd have no luck at all. they just happened to be the only ones that i know of there at the time. i laugh at these bar hoppers that have no storage for raingear, picking something up or anything for that matter. but to each their own. i apologized to chili for making his life miserable for picking up the wifes scg. hope your able to get something soon.

I want to thank Tom,Fat,Ed and of course Neil for helping to make this possible. I was able to take her out yesterday afternoon, scared yes, excited yes. My biggest fear was not being able to flatfoot but once we got going I realized it wasn't an issue. There was one stop where it was a moment of oops but I caught her. F_Skinner I am only 5'2" and 28 " inseam. Would I like a little more footing sure, but it was ok. I guess I just have to adjust. She is soo not the Blast. We weren't even out of the sub-division and I realized there is WAY more bike under there than the Blast.
There will be some adjustment since the rear brake and shifter to me is in not in the same position as the Blast but that too will be a learning curve. I'm pretty certain I'm going to enjoy her a lot. Oh and Ed I do have custody of the keys. Other than that WOW, just WOW.
