I don't always renew my H.O.G. Membership, sometimes letting it lay dormant until a 5th )ear event comes to town.

The most recent letter states on the envelope:
"There's still time to turn this thing around".

I'm not so sure about that. I also am wondering that along with the budget cuts if H-D will cut H.O.G. Loose to fend for themselves.

Are you going to renew your membership?

Not for me since Buell being axed.

"There's still time to turn this thing around"

That should be saying to HD about Buell motorcycles!

Out of the blue I received HOG magazine issue 004 in the mail yesterday. The only times I have been a HOG member was when it was free after the purchase of a bike (the last one was in 2006). So I called to ask why I had been sent this rag, and was told it was a "freebie" to try to get me to re-up for the club.

I politely told the lady that due to H-D's decision to kill Buell I would not be interested in HOG, or any product with the H-D name on it. I added that there are many others out there who are done with H-D because of this shameful decision. I finished by asking her to make sure my comments were forwarded to the corporate offices, and she assured me that all feedback is forwarded accordingly.

I sincerely hope that H-D is painfully aware of the bad blood and genuine disgust that a large percentage of the motorcycling world has for them currently. They deserve every ounce of ridicule, contempt, and animosity they are receiving. H-D is an embarrassment to America.

as long as Keith Wandell is the president and ceo of Harley-Davidson, the only thing I will give Harley is a piece of my mind!

We as motorcyclist, can NOT allow idiots to ruin a good American motorcycle company!

That's a good idea find a good mechanic to work on the Buells now instead of waiting for the last minute of the 10 years to find one then. For those of us who don't want too much grease under the finger nails: )

I would join BRAG if it came back.
Progressive has a roadside assistance program to their motorcycle insurance program. Dont know anybody that has used it yet though.

I have been a HOG member for many years. I may have to really think about my renewal. With Harley cutting back, I probably need to also. REX

I have been a member of HOG when I bought a new Harley but I never kept it past one year. I was also a member of BRAG when I bought a new Buell but also never kept it past one year. I just did not like it being attached to a dealership, any dealership HD or otherwise.

Lynn used HOG once for roadside assistance and it worked well.

I studied BMW, Goldwing and Victory ownership clubs for a project once. We have a lot of what they have right here on the BadWeb for free. Of course each one has advantages and disadvantages.

I now have AMA with roadside assistance and BRAN.

I have a life membership in HOG, but it means nothing to me now. I still have some friends that ride Harleys and of course I won't hold Harley's crime against them, but anything H-D sends me now either goes in the trash or I'll just give it away.
