So tomorrow morning I pick up my 1125R. Black, and apparently it has the lowers on it, I haven't seen one with the lowers live yet so I am excited. So that brings to total to 7 and I think it is time to trim the herd a bit...gotta let one of the Harley's go and one of the Buells, the blue X1 I think. Either way it will be cool to have a new Buell, haven't had a new off the floor one since 2005. Can't wait till morning, prolly won't sleep a wink tonight.

Are you sure the lowers cover the exhaust? I didn't think they did? But I can be wrong.

Oh I don't know, I haven't seen it yet, this is just a pic I found when I searched "1125R with lowers". I will see it tomorrow when I go pick it up.

I saw a 1125R at my dealers with the lowers on it and it really made the bike look nice! Buell should have made them with the lowers on stock from the factory and they would have sold more!

The bike above looks cool, but that's not the factory fairing kit. The factory pieces completely cover the side pods and don't cover the muffler:

congrats on the purchase dale. it's bad enough that i'm flying up to nashville next friday to pick up and scg from ft that i'm having anxiety attacks thinking about wanting a firebolt. the scg will put us at 6 and have no intention of getting rid of any. at first i really wanted the cr then thought about the firebolt. but right now i'm trying to stay focused at finishing up the house so i can hopefully move up to tenn in the not to distant future where the bike will really be fun to ride. i was thinking about coming down there sometime if i could get a good deal on tires from your buddy. need them for the xt right now. got the road pilot 2's on the cyclone and so far so good. don't know how they would really act on the twisties but i'd like to try them on the xt. enjoy your new ride, i'm envious buddy.

EB said, at the New Jersey Motosports Park back in Sept, that HD wouldn't let Buell place a full fairing on the 1125. He didn't say why just that he wanted it that way, originally.

Neil my friend this bike is everything my XB was in handling, feel, riding position and just plain fun and it is everything my XB wasn't in terms of refinement, power, incredible handling with the power on it, the Corse III are just like glue, I have 250 miles on it and I have had a ball for every single one of them. I am truly in love with this bike, I think with a pipe and some tuning this could be the best bike I have ever had, the streetability of it, it only lacks a bit of low end power but that I can live with as it doesn't take much to bring it up. Congrats on the SCG, I cannot wait to see it. You gotta come down to the new place and check it all out, give me a call with the tires you want and I will call my buddy and see what we can get done for you. I have three guys coming by to tomorrow to look at the X1 and the Harley, they are priced right so they will sell pretty quickly, when I polished them up I was amazed looking at them, I had almost forgotten how beautiful they really are, I will miss them, but I need to thin the herd a bit. Come on down when you get back from Tennessee and you can take the 1125R for a ride, it is sweet. We still haven't caught up for lunch, but I have been a one legged man in an A$$ kicking contest since June. I am thinking of going for a ride through the mines tomorrow, my buddy is sick and doesn't feel up to a dirt ride tomorrow, I will give you a call if I get up your way.

being that it's 230 in the morning that you posted, you must have been having fun doing something last night dale. we'll be here to around 1pm. gonna go down to the auto show at the tampa convention center this afternoon. no look at what we can't have. as far as lunch goes, if your up that way, let me know before 1130 and i can bug out. i don't know how much longer i'll be around there cause things are getting slower.

as for tires. these are from the web site on the sizes."Tire Size Designator, Front 120/70 ZR-17
Tire Size Designator, Rear 180/55 ZR-17"
i'd like to do the michellin road pilot 2's i think that's what they're called. the dual compound tires. got some tread left on the front but getting pretty flat on the back. enjoy the bike, totally jealous.
