Today it seems like some of our furor over last Thursday's announcement is finally dying down. I was just sitting here thinking some positive things have been accomplished: 1- Probably more Buells have been sold in the last week than any other week in the company's history (it'd be nice to know the statistics on that). 2- As a result of those sales, a lot of people are finally "getting it" now that they finally own a Buell. 3- A lot of pro-Buell articles have been written in the motorcycle and non-motorcycle press. Hell, even Superbikeplanet's Dean Adams referred to it as "...the unfortunate closure of the Buell brand...' 4- Many people have sent cards and letters to Erik and the Elves to show their appreciation 5- People are working behind the scenes to make sure that the year 2010 does not mark the end of Buell motorcycle production, whether they're called "Buells" in the future or not. 6- Several long-lost Badwebbers have returned to the fold 7- A ride to the factory has been organized and money has been collected to provide a meal for the workers and riders 8- We've already seen several dealers commit in writing to provide long-term service and parts for Buells. 6- Several long-lost Badwebbers have returned to the fold Some may remember my Drama. A lot has changed and happened that I won't get into but this did let me get back on with a 09 XB12Ss. I am not happy to see it like this but I love being back. | ||

It'll be the ulybolt on Monday. I still haven't given Hals all the cash yet for lobby. That's gonna take me about another week. And lobby is getting a new fuel pump. | ||

#5 - It showed, once again, what a motivated bunch of BadWebbers can do when motivated. Really cool to see everybody rallying to the cause of BMC, Erik, and the Elves Having the political stuff pushed to the background a bit was cool too.  | ||
