With so many dealers doing $5000 off 1125's I wonder.... why $5K?
It seems to be the standard discount right now.
Is HD giving dealers a rebate on these bikes?
There must be something or else pricing would be all over the place.
So far it seems dealers are either doing $5K off or nothing at all.
The only other thing I could think of is that $5K is the mark up on the bikes and they're all selling at cost... however i don't think that is the case... I wouldn't think that the dealer cost would be that low.

There's been mixed feelings over the dealers selling off Buells like they have the plague but if they're getting factory rebates on the bikes then it's only right that they pass those savings onto the customer.

My deal was otd for 6990 in MN, includeing $400 taxes and about $900 retail in accesories. My guess is that I got the $5,000 plus about $1,500 off of retail on the 08 1125R. A good deal but I routinely hear of better deals. My problem was the sun brought out other Buellers also looking for bargains and my negotiating leverage went away. Harley is definetly rebating $5,000 on the 1125s and $3000 on the aircooled. I am not sure all dealers in all regions got the same deal tho.

Other rumour has it that there are a bunch of 2010 models coming to the dealers in November and December. The dealers that sold off the most and want the inventory can call dibs. This will be a very non-uniform distribution of remaining inventory for sale. Some inventory is being held back also. Or thats what I heard on the internet.

I got mine and life is good.

Is there any other source to verify that?
The two dealers closest to me are not offering the $5K deal.
The best one would do on the phone was $2500 off MSRP.
The other wants MSRP

It's also been posted here that it's $5k off 1125's but only $3k off XB's.

Also of interest is that Reg Kittrelle (a reliable source) said on SacBORG that the rebates end December 18.

I have seen it mentioned on quite a few different places, but most of them are quoting that article.
Apparently the sell-out at lower prices have created demand in many places, so the dealers are not dropping the prices by as much as they could. Nothing like a last chance attempt
to line their pockets. I don't believe it has made any difference at all over this way. The dealers here never really knew what was going on with Buell too much at the best of times.

I was just my local dealership today , just stopped by to talk and see if anything good was left. They sold everything the first week . HD gave 5k off on 1125 and 3k on the xb, rebates end Dec 18 if anything is left. He told me the deal was to get the rebates the dealership had to support parts and warranties for 7 years.

Hmm... that could explain.. if they're not going to continue to support Buell then I wouldn't be surprised.

It will be interesting to see which dealers have 2010 models in November. I'm guessing they are all going to the ones that signed on to provide support and warranty work. Am trying to find enough cash to swing another 1125 but it looks real doubtful unless I give up my 04 heritage softtail.

I paid 5999 for 2009 1125R zero miles. I still have to pay my state taxes when I get it home. The way I look at it is I was planning on paying MRSP in March 2010 anyways this just made me act a little faster and now I get to keep my 2006 xb12s.

Paw,

Its Minnesota, selling isn't much of an option till spring. My dealer will happily take it in on trade and work out a deal on parts etc. to make up difference in value. I told him to go ahead if he can find an 09 white on blue 1125R. We'll see, those are pretty rare. Especially after last weekend and this week. Buell enthusiasts pretty well stripped the dealers clean around here.
