Raspberry jam delta-v and psycho monkey off of the crystal planet cd - you have to play them through headphones since the neighbors would complain if you played 'em at the intended volume

One of the best that I've heard is Neil Schon from Journey. This is some of his solo stuff without the band,

Satriani's Back to Shalla Bal is my absolute favorite "motorsport music", with Priest's Freewheel Burnin' finishing a fraction of a second behind.

I saw Joe in his prime on the "Flying in a blue dream" tour back in the late 1980s. He had Stu Hamm on bass at the time and it was an awesome show. However for the full musical experiance there is no one better than Dream Theater.

Overall, guys like Joe, Steve, Eddie and and bands like Rush and Dream Theater are a dying bread. These guys sound better live then on a CD, unlike todays popular studio processed groups like Lincon Park and countless other made for TV groups.
