I agree, something is definitely brewing beneath the surface and it's bigger than anything HD could have provided, or even allowed BMC to get moving while still under their thumb.
I'd venture to guess that if KaHoSuYa went out of business, the owners/riders would quickly look to a competing company for their motorcycle needs. I don't see that happening with Buell.
Yes there's something special about this family of enthusiasts, and we will damn sure not go quietly.
It sucks, but it's business, and it's over. Sport bikes are even less of a growth industry of late, this isn't the economic climate for meaningful mc upstarts or serious venture offers. Love the scoot you have, treasure it, keep forums like badweb alive & well, as they will ultimately find you the part you need, or the tech who can perform your scheduled service. Stick together tighter together with your fellow buellers than ever before and make things happen for the scoot you have, because, at this point, it's highly unlikely that anyone else is going to step up and make it happen for the marque.
The economy just accelerated a process that began some time ago, which would have ultimately occurred in any event. This is the price we pay for standing alone with our niche brand- celebrate that fact, and love your buell.
I don't know...Court would have us gathered around him at the shore line and eagerly awaiting the parting affect while he goes into... "Remind me to tell you sometime about the time I..."
If there is a biblical character Court represents it is surely the one pictured above in our Buelligan clan at least. We can be thankful for that.
the quarterback (eric)is at the line(the elves, vendors and many others). the numbers has been called(by hd), he is back, back, no, it is not a fumble it is,it is , a pass ,the ball is in play, the recievers (buellers)are their in position, beyond their goal ,waiting for the ball, that is presently mid air.
