Unfortunately, it is highly likely that Erik has a noncompetiton/nonsolicitation clause in his employment contract with HD. It is also highly likely that he has restricted stock and options that vest over a future period as long as he remains employed by HD. While the options are probably under water and of minimal value, the stock has value even at HD's currently depressed price. Further, even if he decided to walk away from the stock, he would still almost certainly be prohibited by his agreement from competing with his former employer for some period of time (usually 3 to 5 years). So, it is probable that we won't see Erik re-emerging anywhere soon. And, given the incredibly short-sighted strategy being articulated by HD's CEO, we surely won't see much of his creative influence on HD products. What a shame, as the motorcycle world loses the benefit of someone who has had the vision, technical acumen, leadership and just plain old Midwestern, no-nonsense guts to swim against the tide over his 25+ years in the business. |

Would you expect anything different from HD's new CEO. For cryin out loud, he doesnt even ride a motorcyle. His two wheel experience consists of riding his brothers bike when he was a teenager. Can you say "AMF". yankee dog |

After what H-D did to Buell and effectively to all Buellers, AMF can only stand for "Adios Mother F####r". |
