Went out with a gang from round these parts on sunday, invited along by a mate of mine.

Here's a clip of the last part of the ride, this road is on my doorstep the end is the village I live at.

At the end you'll see he comes up behind me when we stop, The guy filming was riding a '09 Kawa ZX6R, you can see how he was riding from the vid, he didn't catch me & I had a passenger to cap it off! The little 21 yr old cutie on the back has a licence but no bike at the moment & had planned to change bikes at every stop, but after she'd been on the back of the Buell for the second leg she didn't want to change, lol.

Others were saying how they were amazed at the way the Buell hung with them, there was a CBR600 & a couple of Street Triples in front & they didn't get away from me.

The pisser came right after.
Another guy riding a ER6, who'd been leading the group before we hit the run, had gone off on a tight right hander. Judging from my knowledge of the road & from what I've heard from others, he looked where he was going not where he wanted to go. Warm dry road, no gravel, no oil most of us had already gone through going like the clappers, so one can only assume pilot error.

I shot home & fetched a trailer for his bike & the meat wagon carted him off to the hospital, he's got a broken wrist & some bumps & bruises but he's already out of hospital after they operated yesterday. got a pot on for 6 weeks then another operation, but he'll be fine.

By the time I got home after dropping his bike off I was totally knackered & slept like the dead.

Sad end, but a good day nonetheless.

Nice vid, Grumpy. Love the French countryside.

It was a spirited ride, wasn't it. I suppose the Madame does not know about the 21 y.o. filly on the back of your bike.

For your friend: Heal soon!

Yeah she knows, told her myself. Pre-emptive strike you might say.

LOL, +1 Grumpy! Pre-emptive strike indeed...

Did the same meself when a great lil girl I work with had told me of her plans to move back home to S. Dakota, having never been on the back of a Harley cruiser whilst living here in East TN.

Told my sweet GF of my plans, she kindly understood and approved, but sadly the Shovel wasn't fixed until the girl had moved.

Oh well...

Cool ride! Are you running the stock seat on the TT? I read that it wasn't great for passengers, but she didn't seem anxious to get off the bike at all.

That was my favorite bike to ride at the Inside Pass track day, I was disappointed when the next one was all 1125's (not that they weren't cool to ride). Great handling on those bikes!

Too bad about the crash, hopefully he heals well and can get back to riding.

Got the dual seat kit on it, it's much more comfortable than the original for me too.
