After weeks of free PR on Faux News and talk radio NPS and DC Police and Fire estimate attendance at 60-70,000.

Referring to FOX News as "Faux News" apparently makes the small minded types and elitists feel good about themselves; the elites feel oh so much more enlightened; you know the type, the ones who cannot debate the issues on the merits or facts, but choose to belittle, smear, and insult those with opposing views. Sad. We have a president who is pathological liar, yet some can't see it.

Well, when you have no merits or facts to back something up, what else can you do? I like the ever popular "racist" remark for not agreeing.

60-70k would barely fill a stadium. I was there and the marchers were packed deep from the Capital to the White House down Penn Ave. That's a couple of miles distance between the two.

Look at it this way... if you use the rigorous accounting and integrity standards established by Barney Frank, and vetted by NPR, (reference the million man march or the million mom march), then "60,000 to 70,000" actual people would represent a "media attendance reporting" number that would be 8 times the total population of the united states! ; )

Does anybody actually ride motorcycles anymore?

How many bikes were at the rally?

Remember the last guy screwed the pooch in innumerable ways too as did the guy before him and the guy before him...... I'm seeing a pattern here

Parks and Recreation estimate 1.2 million and DC Police 1.5 million.

You mean the National Park Service? I was under the impression they don't do crowd estimates any longer.

How many bikes were at the rally?

I did see one fellow riding a Harley in the march and a truck was towing a float shaped like a sailboat

Buellgrrrl "YOU LIE!"

From the Sunday Washington Post.
"Authorities in the District do not give official crowd estimates, but Saturday's throng appeared to number in the many tens of thousands.
A sea of people surrounded the Capitol reflecting pool, spilling across Third Street and along the Mall. The sound system did not reach back far enough at the edges of the rally to hear the speakers onstage"

What makes me want to strangle someone is when they shutdown the beltway for visiting dignitaries during rush hour.
