Three days short of three months and the doc cleared me of having to have a cast on. For those not aware, I shattered my arm as close to the elbow as you can and also had a clean break higher up. With a 7" plate, 10 screws and a cast for three months I'm good to go. Atrophy is a bitch, I shave my arms because of the tats I have, so the hair is weird, it's skinny as hell and smells rancid. NO CAST THOUGH! First thing I did was go to the garage to get my bike. I live across the street from my old man and his ElectraGlide was in the way so I'll have to wait....

oh...and I found out yesterday I'll be a Daddy...

She is 4 wks now...

Well Pops came home and moved his bike out the way. I could ride with the cast but can't even squeeze the clutch in. Worse of all, I dropped the damn thing in the grass on the right side backing it out of the garage and broke the hand brake lever off. Good excuse to buy some shorties now I guess!

Congrats.... That's the best feeling...

Did they use stainless or titanium? You might need to get one of those cards.

Stainless...Chicago is the only airport so far that I've set the metal detector off. That was with the cast. I'll be flying to UCONN on the 20th. That will be a good test.

I've also got 2 screws in my right knee. Have had them 8 years now. The first three years or so I set metal detectors off. I'm still a good weather forcaster!

I just "graduated" from physical therapy for my ACL reconstruction. Amazing how fast those muscles go away, and how much work it takes to bring them back. It starts slow, and feels like you barely make progress, then everything whips into shape over a few weeks.

You know you are approaching the end of therapy because all your other joints hurt as bad as your surgical joint does. : )
