yea it didnt seem like anyone wanted to play, and im with Vortec, buck up sissies Whatever..... Guess I'm a sissy because I live 1.5 miles from work, work 12 hrs a day, like to spend time with my family, and oh yeah...sleep every now and then. The shorter missions I can "squeeze" in on a break. 100 mile rides I can't. |

Hey Oocha - you didn't win yet. We still have to see the google map showing where this airport is and where you live. |

I'm no trick photog...so I'm out on this one. I can barely get them to post here. I have a very cool private airport with hangers attached to the homes/garages and a WWII bombing range airport where the mosquito control runs DC3s out of but I didn't go because they're about 4 miles away. I would have posted both. I'm going for a ride. Maybe I'll find roadkill but I'll pass on the bringing a toy for a ride on the S1. Great game though. (Message edited by skntpig on July 14, 2009) |

I think that the challenges should just be a good mix. Long and short, but perhaps more appropriate to the time? Longer challenges could be set closer to a weekend, where some people may have the time to go for a longer ride. Shorter challenges for the working week. While not everyone works (or works normal hours) or can complete every challenge, it just seems a more user friendly to do it. So far it's been great. We get to see the countryside where everyone lives a little Bring it on! |

distance shouldnt matter. Its all about getting on the buell and riding. The pictures are great. Especially for someone like me who is half way across the planet and is unable to ride!!! |

"I think that the challenges should just be a good mix." +1 "distance shouldnt matter. Its all about getting on the buell and riding. The pictures are great." +1 We've had a bit of everything so far, some easy, some hard, and even the airfield challenge was done within what, 14 hours? I've thought of a few more challenges, ones that I can actually do and which I think will make interesting pics, so I'll have to win some more... |

So, what's the challenge? Is it the panoramic or did the airfield not qualify?

What does a panoramic picture have to do with riding? Is anyone working on this challenge? |

You have to ride to the country and make a panoramic photo. Due to my work hours I can't pull this one off with daylight, so I am going to sit it out. |

I have no problem with a challenge that take me beyond my back yard, but I would like to see technology kept to a minimum. I don't think the airfield challenge provided the map, but can we take a persons word for the mileage part of a challenge? The panoramic picture has me out for this round. I played with that software once. Just like the sharp stick in my eye, once was enough. |

I kept checking this thread all day to see if someone with panoramic photo skills also rode and wanted to play the game. I can't wait until I win one if this game continues more than a few more days. You guys will never get my request. MMUUUUUAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAAAAA! It was cool when I tried the first few and got dooped by a few minutes and there were a handful of missions a day. Goodbye dead thread. |

as far as the mileage, the airport is like 30miles away from mi casa. that 50mile range was a stupid request, and i did go to all the way across town for the picture, i did happen to take a picture of my odometer before the ride to the airport and did go out for a ride afterwards and was like 113miles its not hard to make a panaramic, i use the 'paint' program for everything http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=F M-1431%2FW+Whitestone+Blvd&daddr=30.177112,-97.658 243&hl=en&geocode=FQ610QEdvDcr-g%3B&mra=dme&mrcr=0 &mrsp=1&sz=14&sll=30.191209,-97.656183&sspn=0.0367 97,0.07699&ie=UTF8&ll=30.357471,-97.531128&spn=0.5 87757,1.231842&z=10 |

It was cool when I tried the first few and got dooped by a few minutes and there were a handful of missions a day. I thought that was part of the fun too. If this mission were to ride into the country and take a pic with your helmet on a rock it would be done by now and more people could play. We can keep this going if the missions are kept simple. I got grief for wanting a tuber in my pic! Come on people, lets get this going again! |

"that 50mile range was a stupid request" Says the guy asking for a panoramic shot. I'm a big fan of irony. |

panarama step by step start out with two photos
open both and size down (shortcut: ctrl+w to resize, insert parameters needed)
select all and 'cut' the image you want
extend your window and paperspace
paste and line up the best you can

4. Because of time zones, each mission should be posted for at least 24 hrs, Unless everyone agree's it's something nobody wants to do, ie. "Smiley Burnout", in that case the last one with the failed mission will get to choose again. This mission is over 24 hours since being posted it sounds just like the "Smiley Face" mission and nobody wants to do it.. In order to keep this moving along and not die, i request a new mission from Ochoa. Lets go back to keeping it somewhat simple and not off the wall. We can do the longer off the wall missions for the weekend and the short and sweet ones during the week Other wise its going to die out! |

+2 I say give it to Sifo. After 24 hours improvisation and creativity should get it. I live on a country road but broke my camera(and it wouldn't be much of a ride). My cellphone takes huge pics and I can barely get them reduced enough while keeping them visible as it is...without trying the panorama. (Message edited by skntpig on July 15, 2009) |

My cellphone takes huge pics and I can barely get them reduced enough while keeping them visible as it is...without trying the panorama. my guess to that is your cameraphone saves the photo in a beefy format like bitmap, then open it up (in paint) and save it as a jpeg image and it will cut down the imageKB size dramatically

Also check your phones settings, mine by default is 3.2 megapixel, so I changed the setting to 640x480 or something that way they would be small enough to post directly from the phone. |

I will have it tonite, after work, the nearest airport outside of the 50 mile radius for me is actually 95 miles. I will post the pic and the map then. I had no idea that 3/4 of a tank full of gas would be such a wet mop for everyone. |
