I got an email from a fellow badwebber. Telling me sorry that i did not sell the buell. I know i'm going to feel a real financial pinch soon. He mentioned to me to run this idea past you all and ask if it would be OK and if any of you would be interested in helping me raise the money. He said to hold a raffle to sell the bike. Sell 150 tickets at $50 each or even try 250 tickets at $30. Could i do this here and is there enough people who would be interested in buying a ticket? Of course with the extra money i would make sure the bike had a new rear tire and also ship it to whoever won. I could put a detailed description of everything the bike has and put a bunch of pics. on my space for all to look at. Let me know if this could work? Thanks

First, this idea was run past me(based on the wording), and I think its wonderful, and I personally, would endorse it if it were my place..

Good luck...

Hope everything works out..

WOW PAW!!!!!
She's a lot prettier than you, just doesn't look as happy. She's definitely a keeper though!!!

About the bike, though, just wondering...it's almost mid February down here, I guess it is up there too. By mid March, it's pretty much springtime here,(unless we have a blizzard). I don't know about there. Could you survive until spring and sell it then? outside toys seem to be more in demand when folks can go out and play. About the raffle, I don't know. Lot better odds than the lottery, but if you didn't sell lots of tickets.....guess see what folks think

Congrats. She's a cutie. I'll support the lottery with the purchase of a couple of tickets if the powers that be allow it to be ran through here. Got PayPal I assume?

Beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful!

About the raffle.
I have no problem with it.
I hope Blake doesn't either.
I'll ask.

Cool congradulations....

I'd support a raffle and suggest instead of buyng tires put it toward shipping, most of us live a long way away!

Well While I can't go for the total price, I could probably spring for a raffle ticket or two!

What an awesome photograph! That is one justifiably proud papa and one very safe and secure little daughter. Very cool! Thanks for sharing Paw! : )

Unfortunately the world in which we live and the associated very real legal ramifications make it extremely risky and therefore undesireable for BadWeB to support any raffles or other personal fundraising efforts. But you sure can put it up in the classifieds. : )

Thanks as always for understanding.

Congrates Paw!
She's a cutie, so tiny.
Keep us posted on the X1 situation.
Like the others, I can't afford to buy it but I'd be willing to buy a chance.

There's got to be a way around the raffle, though. Seems like someone from the BadWeb could sponsor the raffle on one of their homepages or something. Maybe not exactly like that, but you get the hint.

Have to ask blake, but I think that if it's okay to link to other sites like Ebay from the Classifieds, then it seems only fair to link to another site that is hosting the Raffle. I'm not just using Ebay as an example, there are countless examples on the Bad Web. I get that BadWeb can't hold the raffle, but someone else could and you could link to it from the BadWeb.

Interested in knowing. I'd be up for the raffle. I think it's a GREAT idea.

She's TINY compared to you! Albany Med huh? I live in Clifton Park.

The problem with raffles is they are considered gambling. I know they are getting tough on Poker Runs in some areas and I don't remember how they are getting around it.

You'd have to give people something for thier money. Like $50 would buy a cookbook with a serial number on it or something. I don't know, but there is a way around it.

A link via the classifieds to a raffle that is hosted elsewhere would be fine. Ebay may even provide a raffle type service, I dunno. : )
