No Buell content, just figured this was worth sharing:

I had no idea these really existed, I thought it was just a cool name.

The REO Speed Wagon was a motor truck manufactured by REO Motor Car Company. It was an ancestor of the pickup truck.

Interesting find, I'll admit.

If you are ever in TN stop by the Jack Daniels distillery (free tour) there you will see a nice REO fire truck.

And also at the Jack Daniels distillery they a couple newer E-One fire trucks (shameless plug)

I am pretty sure they were the only company we have had to order Black firetrucks

Built in Lansing Michigan!

And as all other Michigan manufacturers they have been taxed out of existance! LOL!

Nice find anyways!

Grew up a half mile from the Reo factory, finished its run in the late 1970s as Diamond Reo and produced the top of the line semi-tractor. At least before the CEO ran off to some tropical island with the all of the money. 15 years later they tore the four-block factory down along with Motor Wheel. Now they're tearing down the old Oldsmobile factory.

Not much left in my home town. Hmm, sounds like an old Simon and Garfunkel tune from the same era, eh, Swampy?
