see, i guess kids have changed more than school. we never complained about stuff like that when i was in school, we made the most of it.

i remember plenty of nights partying with some damn good looking teachers.

Beer, Smoke, and Sex!

Can't kids keep their pie holes shut?

I know I did my fair share of things that would have got the "adults" I was with in a big heap of trouble. The party would have ended if the dime got dropped

No kidding man. I always appreciated it the few times I had a cool teacher and I sure as heck wouldn't snitch on them; not even now after 15 years. I would consider myself a good citizen, but come on, a lot of teens are going to do that sort of stuff no matter how hard it is to get what they want. People should relax a little. That's like all these cases we're seeing where female teachers are being charged with rape for having sex with teenage boys. What a crock. That's every teen boy's fantasy.

I think if you actually took the time to read the article you would realize there were no teenage boys involved but instead, two teenage girls. The female coach provided the girls for two National Guard recruiters.

i saw it before it was even posted here. it doesnt say how old the recruiters are. heck they could be 18, 19 for all we know.

like i said before. teachers and students have been hooking up for longer then i have been around. so the guys involved with this teacher and students wear a uniform part of their life. doesnt make them any different.

LOL! Rich - "I think if you actually took the time to read the article..."

I think if you actually took the time to read my post...you'd see that it departs from the article subject and goes on to talk about, "all these cases we're seeing where..." That's OK bro. I skip a beat every once in a while too.

The thread title is "High School has changed since my day." I'm a guy, not a little girl. (-: That brings up another point though - double standard for the sexes. A lot of people want to make that difference a big deal. I say right...and? I can't speak for what goes through a teenage girl's head. However I can definitely say what a teenage guys is thinking, and since you guys are guys, I don't think I need to explain it to ya either. (-:

I had a french teacher in high school that was music video hot, the only reason I took french was her figure and the tales of the wild spring breaks in S. France. I took three years of french, got very good grades, but couldnt conjugate a simple verb today : D She ended up marrying one of my classmates after he graduated. School HAS changed.

I've been watching this story intently since it came out, primarily because it involves soldiers in SC and that's where I'm stationed.

The biggest discussion around here is speculating as to what the soldiers will be charged with...SC age-of-consent is 16. Military age of consent is also 16. There's been no indication that the girls were forced in any way.

It's not immediately clear if the soldier's violated any recruiting regulations or rules, because typically it's only a violation to have a relationship with someone you are recruiting. I'm not sure if those recruiters were actively engaged in a mission at that school.

More than likely if the soldiers are charged, it won't be a specific offense. The UCMJ has a "general article" which covers anything unbecoming and detrimental to the Army. Judges have a lot of leeway with that article as far as offenses that can be included, and sentencing.

All in all, this is one of the craziest stories I've heard lately. It reflects pretty poorly on the the Army, and in some ways our society as a whole. The soldiers used piss-poor judgment, and the I'm sure someone will find something to charge them with...

It reflects pretty poorly on the the Army

IMHO, that is the only reason this is seeing as much, if any air time.

If this were some joe blow football player from a prestigious college, nothing would ever be mentioned about it.

Whether people like it or not, ALOT of people, will use ANYTHING to slam the US armed forces... period... And this...

Well, this is icing on the cake for them..

and I agree whole heartedly about this reflecting badly on our society as a whole..
