I think the only reason why Dave went into his own business, is so he don't have to get a haircut... How many places can a long hair work? Dave, good luck to you my man... As someone who started his own business a year ago, i can only tell you the stress is higher, the rewards are higher, and the money is higher, well, in my case at least, hopefully, yours too. I wish you all the success you can handle.. |

As far as I'm concerned Dave, this is exactly the sort of move that doesn't qualify you as an IGNORANT PETROL HEAD. These are the actions of a lucid, intelligent and thoughtful person. What went wrong? All the best to you and Kandie. I've enjoyed our sparring rounds. It is your ability to recognised above all else not to take Internet fodder to seriously and count humour high amongst the banter. Great luck Dave. Rocket |

Dave; you know you'll be sorely missed in the Buell sales and service world, so *please* make sure to stay in touch. And if you can see your way to write up that sales training curriculum for Buell - please do All in all it sounds like you made the right decision. Good on you! The important people in your life are just that important. And all the best luck in your new venture - I know you'll do great! ... and when I finally get back into archery and bow hunting I'll be sure to give you a call Henrik |

Dave, Good luck man on your business, it's an exciting thing to own your own business, it's also a great challenge and people with your enthusiasm generally do well. I am damn excited for you and I wish you and your family well, you have always took the time to answer any questions I have ever had. Are we going to see you at Bike Week this year? Ken |

Rocket, don't think for a minute I'm not still an ignorant petrol head. I'll still be around to spar with you! I am sorry i can't answer each and every one of you and your wishes for the best for me. Trust that I have read each one and thank you all for your friendship. Oh, and Mikey, my new boss thinks my long hair is just fine. If bowhunters can get used to Ted Nugent's ponytail, they can get used to mine! |

Maybe you should open up bow hunting / buell parts store. You can call it Shoot & Ride. Good luck with the new store. |

Dave, I wish you the best of luck. It was comforting knowing you were available for just about any Buell question. But you have to do what you want...it sounds like you made the right choice to me...being away from loved ones is often harder than being around what you love to do. |

Dave and Kandi, Very exciting and cool news for you guys! Looks from the pictures that you've been thinking about it for a while? (the date on the inside pic). Best of luck to both of you - being closer to your loved ones, and owning your own business... very good stuff... Congrats! Joanne |

To each his own, Or so they say. Who are they? I don't know. Follow your heart, And do what you think is right, And you will be alright. I only know you from here on the BadWeb, and can say for certain, you will be missed. I also know how much of a treat your new customers and friends have in store for themselves. The Buell communities loss is the bow hunting communities gain. Sorry to see you go. Congratulations Dave. |

Dave, Congrats on the new business and thank you for all you've done for the Buell community. Suppose I need to pick up a new hobby now! And yes, I guess you can put a tree stand in my barn. I have a set of antlers for you I found a few days ago... Kandie, Hey stranger! Can I still come and visit? Alex (Message edited by awprior on January 25, 2007) |

Dave, Congratulations! Just 3 short years ago, (1/27/2004), Joanne and I bought American Sport Bike. I worked as an engineer "for da man" for 22 years prior, but always wanted to own my own biz. I can't imagine going back. A.S.B. owns my life now. No paid vacation, brutal hours, lousy benefits, the boss is an ogre (ask Joanne!), but I wouldn't trade it for working for someone else. I get to do whatever I want (as long as working long and hard is what I want), I don't have to answer to anyone (except thousands of customers), I get to work with my wife instead of being kept away from her all the time (sound familiar?), and there's no one to tell me I can't keep beer in the fridge at work (even if there's no time to drink it). What's not to like about that? I know nothing of archery. But I've learned an awful lot about running a small biz in the past few years, so if there is any way I can help, just give me a call. Al |

Hey Dave- good for you! I'm positive you will be sorely missed but I'm sure archery folks will be getting a great asset. We just recently opened a pet supply business and it is a wonderful feeling. TONS of hard work and very long hours, but a great feeling none the less. I wish you and Kandi and your now closer together family the best of luck and prosperity. Odie....
