Rummy

I'll be there on Saturday. Last year was my first there. The building is ginourmous, and the show is what it is. All manufacturers, some vendors, some bs.

I'm there to drool on all the latest and greatest.

I'll be there in Friday. Crowds are smaller in Friday. Only open from 4:00-9:00 on Friday, but you can squeeze it in. Open all day Sat. Anyone else going Friday? Maybe we could set up a meet/greet time, say 7:00?

I picked up a pair of Nitro riding boots ($60) and a Joe Rocket mesh jacket ($75) there last year. Tq_freak picked up a nice Alpinestar leather coat for $100.

I'm looking for a pair of riding pants this year, maybe even a 2 piece riding suit. Then I'll be set for March Badness IV.

Just like everywhere else, buyer beware. Some good deals, some not so good deals.

The Buell booth is cool, don't forget your key to get the free shirt.

Hoping to sit on the TT, but when I get my next bike, it will probably be the Ss, we'll see.

There was a Buell dealer there last year, but they only had 1 or 2 shirts, maybe a ball cap. No parts/accessories for the bikes. If someone knows what dealer sets up there, maybe you could ask them to bring some "bike goodies" this year.

Just as a heads up, it is cash only at the ticket window, I think it's $12.00, parking is another $6 or $8. You can pre-buy the ticket at the IMS website, so you won't have to wait in line. http://buytickets.motorcycleshows.com/tickets.aspx ?sh=507

Toona hit it all on the head. I will be getting into Cleveland too late on Friday to make it to the show then. White's Harley and Buell will probably be there again with shirts. I doubt there will be anything more than the Buell area and them.
I'm hoping to be suprised.

I will second "buyer beware". However, no different than any other biker shindig. There are diamonds and dirt.

Last year I took my owners card, they gave me the "Hello" shirt. But there were 3 others with me that got shirts as well w/o any "paperwork".

If you wear a Buell t-shirt and are at least a little convincing that you own a Buell, I would say chances are good that you could score the shirt (even w/o a key).

Picked up my freebie shirt from Leslie! It was nice to meet her. She gave us the 5 minute history lesson of her and BMC.

Sat on the TT. It looks better in person, but I think the Ss will be my next whenever I wear my current bike out. I have a pic of Leslie writing on the number plate w/ a dry erase marker.

I also purchased a a pair of JR Ballistic pants. Now I'm officially "all geared up".

Took a peek at the new Victory cruiser-it's different....
Liked the Mito(sp?) 500, pretty cool

Pics to follow.

Went today. Quite a crowd, bigger than last year. Threw a leg over the Uly and got a cramp in my hamstring. It's just a little too tall for me with the top bag on it.

I went Saturday.

I wasn't super impressed. There were no bikes I was crazy about.

The TT was cool, but too tall for me.

I had never seen a XB12Scg up close before. I LOVED that super low seat! (Can that seat bolt onto a CityX?)

I was really hoping to see the new BMW X-country there, but they didn't have it.

Ducati had the Hypermotard there, which was quite possibly my favotite bike at the show!

I also liked the Moto Guzzi Breva 1100. I thought they did a great job of integrating a sporty standard type bike, with a cruiser and sport tourer. Wonder how it handles?!

I didn't know about the Free Stuff they were giving away to Buell owners, till I mentioned my Cyclone! They didn't hesitate to give me a shirt, even though I didn't have the key with me.
They seemed to be pretty nice people in the Buell both.

I also found a helmet that I absolutely love!
Made by Caberg. It's a Modular, with built in sun visor. It has a little lever on the side to put the visor up or down.

I just got home from cleveland now (9PM Sunday. Only went to show on Saturday, and it was pretty good. The drive out on Friday night was horrible this year. Black ice throughout Pennsylvania and 1st 50 miles of Ohio.

Show was much busier this year on Friday then last. The stunt show was better. The vendors were also nicer. However, I should have gone to vendors before bikes because some really decent sales were gone quick. My buddy picked up a couple different gloves at more than 50% off.

The Buell shirt is pretty nice this year. The guy even gave one to my lady just because she was there.

I think i messed up too. The Scorpion Exo (best helmet for your buck) was going for $139 for the 400 model and $149 for the 700 model and the threw in a second face shield. I'm a little pissed I didn't get one.

I'll try to get some pics up from the show.
