New
05 XB12Scg
Mancuso H/D - Houston, TX
1.5 hours away.

I got the bike in Oct 2005 for $9,500, so it was a good price. Unfortunately, I will not be giving them any more business due to poor treatment by the service staff. The first time I brought the bike in for warranty work, it was all the service manager could do to try and hide the sneer of disdain when he saw what I brought his people to work on. Imagine how much fun I had trying to deal with the general manager when I got it back about ten days later with damage.

New 07 Firebolt in October

I wish I would have bought a Buell before I bought a Road King. I could have had 4 Buells for all the money I put in that pig.

Hello all, new here... great forum!

Wolfridgerider -- I am leaning toward purchasing an XB9sx, but am also considering a Road King Custom. I've always liked the looks of the Road King, but think I would enjoy the Buell more. Can you speak about any comparisons that may help the decision making process easier. (Other than price... WOW, the Road Kings are a lot of $$$).

Thanks!

Don't mean to hijack the thread on my first post!

I had the Road King for almost 6 years, I put on about 43,000 fun miles on it. I also spent over $5000 building the engine. If I went into how much I spent on chrome crap and paint, I would make myself sick. I was (am) a bike aholic, I couldn't keep my face out of the HD P&A catalog = spend spend spend!! I took a Uly for a test ride on June 20TH, went back and traded the Road King in on June 22ND, and I haven't looked back. I don't think I will ever buy another newer Harley. The Motor CO. has done a good job on making a machine that screams SPEND MORE MONEY ON ME!! Thats great for business and their investors. I just can't leave well enough alone and thats what they a counting on.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

I could go on and on about the people that are now buying Harley's and putting on 300 miles a year, or the guys that spend a ton of cash for a custom paint job that if a bug gets on it they freak out. The people I like the best are the ones that say "My bike has never been rode in the rain" and they are proud of that fact! I'm not saying all Harley riders fall into this category, but a lot of them do. I had a great time on my RK, but what I realized when I rode the Uly is that it was what I was attempting to make my Road King do. I had the floor boards ground off to nothing and could pull a (small) wheelie with it, but it cost me a bunch and that pisses me off every time I think about how much $$$ I would have saved If I would have test rode a Buell in the beginning......

Uly = GOOD
Road King = Hurt wallet

Red Snap 3100mi '96 Buell S1 Lightning purchased used for $6300 in 2001. I found it in a classified add somewhere on the net and had it shipped sight unseen from Wisconsin.
