Boise State VS Oklahoma It's into overtime and they are still hitting hard and playing like mad. Wow what a game! This is why I love college football, these teams are leaving it all on the field. |

If the NCAA would use these "consolation bowls" as some sort of playoff, they would've realized the mistake they made with Boise without punishing them by making them do it all over again next season... I mean the regular season typically ends at the start of December, but everyone says a playoff system isn't feasible because "they don't have time." Why doesn't the NCAA just take the 457 cheap bowl games they already have and give them a purpose. Boise went 12-0, but yet they "don't deserve to be there because they had an easy schedule?" I'm tired of people's opinions and preferences getting in the way of a talented team... Oh, and in other news, Michigan was massacred by USC....who was saying they should be in the title game? Wait a minute, I forgot...they need home-field advantage or it doesn't count :c) |

What a game....it doesn't get any better than that. I get it becomes a hollywood movie..underdogs go undefeated, take on the big team, and barely beat them in a great game with lots of swings....even an accepted marriage proposal by the running back at the end of the game to one of the cheerleaders. Hollywood probably has script writers flying to Boise as we speak. Al |

They have time to do it...... The NCAA is still trying to figure out how to come up with the undisputed number one team. They won't either, until..... You take the big money out of the Bowl Games. Lets look at, the Razorbacks and the Capital One Bowl. The players all got: -a TV, watch, and a goody bag courtesy of the bowl -an mp3 player and watch courtesy of the SEC -a Xbox360 and a jersey courtesy of the state -SEC West rings courtesy of the state -$600 for food -$200 for incidentals -$800 for the flight down and back Thats just the players and only what they want you to know about. Just what did the coaches get? How about the school itself? Look at the $4.25 million payout. Where did it all go? Until you take the money out of the equation..... now back to your regularly scheduled program, rant off. |

I live in Boise and went to Boise State. I'll agree that was the best game I've ever seen, hands down. The team and everyone around here was simply looking for a little respect, I think they earned it this time. Go Broncos! |

The Broncos have become my favorite underdog...literally the best football game I have seen in years...much better than the Ohio State v Michigan game!! GO BRONCOS!! Plus they share the name and colors of my Denver Broncos...gotta love that team. Hopefully no gets shot from their squad. |

and they even did it on a GREEN field... if you saw that game in a movie you would swear that it could never happen in reality... great bowl season already...the Minnesota meltdown after leading 38-7...the Hokies falling apart against Georgia... West Virginia fighting back against GT... and Joe Pa getting another bowl win. Boise should be the #2 team in the final rankings. |

It was the best football game I have ever seen in my 56 years on the planet, and I played for 10 years so I have seen a lot of games. It had it all. It was Rocky all over again. I wish I had recorded it. I got the highlights off of Sports Center, but I am looking for the replay...they gotta show it again. jimidan |

I was impressed that the Bronco's coach actually went for the win instead of the tie like the pros always do. Even though I'm a Big 12 fan I was rooting for Boise. I like the underdogs. |

OSU fans plan to feast on gator -- the other white meatAssociated Press Some Ohio stores are stocking up on alligator meat in anticipation of demand from Ohio State fans planning pregame feasts for Monday's championship between the top-ranked Buckeyes and the No. 2 Florida Gators. Akron's West Point Market is selling alligator meat for $14.99 a pound. Columbus-area Meijer stores are selling frozen alligator fillets for $6.99 a pound, telling customers in an advertisement to "bring home your own slice of gator." The advertisement for the Meijer promotion includes a drawing of a snarling buckeye nut with the tail of an alligator sticking out of its mouth. Meijer stores also are promoting "tailgator" parties on Saturday. Doug Fulton, West Point's manager of meat, seafood and oven-ready food -- and a University of Florida graduate -- said he has been cooking and serving gator for years. Fulton, a professional chef for 17 years, is quick to note that alligator does not taste like chicken. "It's more of a chicken texture, but I tell people it tastes like alligator," he said. Why Ohio State Might Win: Big Game Experience: It may be a cliché, but twice this season OSU has already played the second-ranked teams in the nation and handled the hype easily. By now, it’s probably getting old. Expect the Buckeyes to be a little cooler than the Gators when the big day arrives. OSU Quarterback Troy Smith: Sure, some of the last several Heisman Trophy winners have struggled in their next big college football games, but the expectation here is that Smith will handle all the nonsense and media attention just fine and play his usual winning style against Florida. And he’s got some outstanding receivers waiting to make big plays. Solid Defense: Ohio State’s D is balanced from front to back. And with Florida lacking a punishing running attack, the Buckeyes should be able to focus on harassing Florida’s quarterback and cutting down on the big pass plays. Why Florida Might Win: Less Rust: The Florida Gators had their biggest game of the year on December 2nd when they beat Arkansas for the SEC championship. Ohio State’s last game was the victory of then-second-ranked Michigan on November 18th. It will have been nearly two months since Ohio State suited up for a game when the championship comes around. Those extra couple of weeks Florida stayed in game mode should help. The Spread: No, not the Vegas point spread, but Florida’s razzle-dazzle spread offense. Ohio State really hasn’t seen that kind of firepower this season, led by the two-head Gator quarterback Chris Leak and Tim Tebow. As good as Ohio State’s defense is, Florida Coach Urban Meyer has shown week in and week out that he can come up with a game plan that puts plenty of points on the board. The "D" Word: Longtime Gator fans might be whispering "destiny" these days, and those who remember the 1996 championship run will recall how another one-loss Florida team had to have a few things go their way down the stretch to get into the championship game. Is this a repeat year? Well, did you think UCLA was going to push USC out of Florida’s way for a showdown with OSU? GO BUCKS!!! |

Anyone watch #4 LSU dismantle ND last night?? Florida beat LSU 24-10 this year. Don't think of UF as a weak team. They are the usual SEC team, tough and fast, not like MSU, Michigan, Ill. |

What are you smoking? typical SEC fast ???? Did you see the way Wisconson beat up Ark ??? Didn't they end up the #2 SEC team? Where was that SEC speed ???? NO-ONE is faster than OSU's Ted Ginn,... NO-ONE the OSU QB Troy Smith is THE FASTEST QB in football, the talk of SEC speed is weak !! perhaps if you really truly believe that FLA will beat OSU you would care to place a wager ??? hmmm... ??? say maybe $5 per point ? maybe something else ????? let me know if you're willing to back up your "opinion" |
