Why, are you a criminal? Just a question so dont go getting all pissed.

I dont think there needs to be a "trial" in that case, he proved to everyone he was a threat.

Have you heard of Brian Nichols? This dumb bastard shot and killed a Judge, officers and innocent people on camera sworn under oath in court, and they still call him "alleged killer". My tax dollars are being wasted keeping that piece of shit alive for no reason. He does not even deserve a trial! He was on trial for RAPE when this happened! He says he got scared of going to prison!

I know we live in America with due process or whatever but give me a break, if you are caught in the act screw a loophole, bullets are cheap. my .02

Damnut, I am ok, I quit taking the pain killers yesterday. Like I said in the 3%ers forum, the pain is easier to deal with than the withdrawls of opiate based pain meds.

Did you guys see the women who stole a cop car while she was getting a ticket? It was, like every car chase here in Las Angeles, blasted all over the news. The report was she was emotional due to the fact that the courts found her to be unstable and ordered her young kids to put into protective custody. Like every other moron, I watched the 20 cop cars chase, well, a cop car.
When she did stop it was a let down. Emotional chick flippin out or crackhead on a joy ride in a stolen police cruiser I think should get worked over. She was just handcuffed and taken into custody.
I figured she'd get slammed on the pavement or something.

I don't know I guess it comes down to this, I never really had a problem with Cops until I was a junior in college, I was bartender and I had this little hotties phone number on the seat of my Jetta with the roof open, I was about to call and hook it up for after work, it was maybe 5:30 pm..the wind blows it off the seat...I look around nobody coming my way so I reach down and get it..lights came on as soon as my head was back up..he (sheriff) walked up to the car and asked if I knew why he pulled me over..I said no..he said I swerved and asked why I swerved...I replied "I dropped my donut..you know how it is man..I HAD to get it back" and he went apeshit and arrested me..it is way funny now but not that day..missed work, car towed, in jail calling my brother to come get and having to convince him I really hadn't done anything all to have no charges filed but a good $500.00 yanked out of my pocket for the trouble...I just haven't had good experiences with them since then..and when I bought my first Buell and started riding it down here in Florida..the Cops treat you differently from my Harley to my Buell..I didn't notice it in Colorado..but I notice it here quite a bit..so Mike I don't think I have a problem, but I have a cop that is a neighbor and he works nights so when I see him come in early in the morning I wait until I think he is asleep and fire up my little two stroke and run the hell out of it around the neighborhood to fire up all the dogs then put it away and go to work...my little revenge I guess

Oh, God... not that. I spent a couple weeks on pain meds after my last get-off and went through hell the first couple of days when the script ran out. It was like depression, anxiety, and every fear I ever had were chasing me.

Talk about a lost weekend...

I have a friend who is a state trooper. When he walks up to a car at night he has his gun underneath his ticket book pointed at the driver.
I can understand that he wants to come home to his family after his shift. Maybe it's because smartalecs like you that trips his trigger.
Just put yourself in his position and your circumstance. Maybe if you would have been polite he would have let you off with a smile. That has worked every time that I've been stopped.

Liquor, thanks for a response instead of a fight!

I have had bad run in before and good ones, so really I am impartial until we meet. Right now if I meet a cop I lose my license if I am jerk.

DJ, I am a self recovered junkie(7 years) and when I get pain meds and stuff I go right back to my junkie attitude, I will usually give them a shot to see if it is worth it but I should know by now that Ibuprofen is my best option.

Right out of highschool, some friends and I were going to the beach when we were pulled over for riding in a POS. The car was a '72 Valiant with the top cut off, pumped up air shocks on all corners and 33 inch BFG's. The door's were sealed with bondo, but would pop open when you leaned hard on them. We had side pipes with no baffels and the timeing was advanced to shoot flames. Boy did it shoot flames. We thought we looked cool. The cop asked how many seatbelts the car had. We showed him it had 4, there was 8 in the car so he pulled out his ticket book. My best friend, the runt of the bunch, about to get a ticket for the minor offence, asked "How's your wife and my kids." The cop said "WHAT?" "How's your wife..." and at that point was sprayed in the face with MACE. 13 years after and I can still taste it. My stupid friend took it in the face and the rest got the overspray. The cop then droped the license, insurance and registration in the car and said "Have a nice day." Thinking back on it, it could have been worse. The car was in no way street legal or safe. It should have been towed. We went on to the beach and had a great time, except for my friend who was throwing up and on fire.

I can understand when a cop stomps some jerk off's head but I know it's not right.
If I was a cop, I'd be like Dirty Harry.

Mike maybe your right maybe your wrong..but anyone that paranoid that they draw their gun everytime they walk up to a car..maybe shouldn't be a cop. My usual thought on this is if it is just a job, then act like it, be professional, calm and do your job, they, on average seem to take everything so personally, so I just started being less and less polite to them, granted I pay more lawyer's fees than I used to, but I speak my mind. Good trade I think.

Oh yeah, Mike for the record..I don't drink. Not because I used to be a boozer or anything, just don't like the taste and I am always on my bike and I think that is just stupid to drink and ride. The name came as a play on words when I was bartending, I used it for an email address and it has been with me ever since. So my name may say it all to you, but in reality it is a bit opposite of me and kinda not opposite, the play on words is the part I participate in. You'll get it if you think about it long enough. Peace!!!

Okay, we're closing in a something here.

Between "liquorwhere" having a "peter on the right track" I think we might be closing in on a dirty joke.

And then, as to: ".. (anyone that ) draws their gun everytime they walk up to a car..maybe shouldn't be a cop." My feeling on that is that any cop that does that, maintains his cool, and has not popped the first cap on anyone yet (much less emptied his high capacity magazine without hitting a perp), may be my candidate for a good guy/brave cop successfully dealing with a tough job and trying conditions. I've never been one for letting the other person have the first punch, or shot, either.

Dale,
I apologize, I was also thinking of another cop thread where you said that you never stop for a cop. I took that as you always run. I have no sympathy whatsoever for people trying to outrun cops and wouldn't have a problem if the cops use deadly force to stop it. Too many innocent poeple die from those jerks running.

Jack-
Just like the jerks that run, there are too many that would shoot a cop just to get out of a ticket. I think that they are well trained enough not to pull the trigger unless they have to. He holsters it as soon as he sees what is going on inside the car. He also mentioned that if the people turn on their dome light right away he holsters it.

Mike no worries man, I think I remember that post and I believe I was saying something about I don't blame my friends for running because of the way the cops down here start picking the bikes apart, you might think it will be a stop, ticket and be on your way, it turns into an impounded bike and night in jail all too easy. I don't run man!! I ride a Buell, I can't outrun the cop cars on it man!!LOL anyway, I guess you could out run one, but timing would have to be right and I just don't do that. I am waiting for Jack to finish that dirty joke and then I am done with the lot of you..hehe.

Wow...if that is real it is the saddest thing I have ever seen...I guess most of us cannot relate to that kind of disrespect toward a parent...I guess that is a parent..I guess that is a learned response from her....I don't know I am at a loss on that one..

Uh... It's real enough..

I know of a girl that got a brand new Suburban for graduating High School (I volunteered to help deliver it on her B-Day morning so saw her reaction).

She screamed and threw a fit since it wasn't a Corvette (what she really wanted). Dad was beside himself, but held his ground, sort of. She finally took the Suburban after it had been properly outfitted and re-painted (read: Custom interior and sound/video system - custom exterior paint/wheels etc.) and of course extracted a promise from her parents that as soon as she graduates from collage she gets her vette.

I'll bet by the time she graduates college.. she'll be upset that the vette isn't a Ferrari.

So,if you think about it, the girl in the videos was pretty reasonable if she was happy with a factory blue..

Thanks guys, for reminding me what an honest crowd it is that gathers here. You're all right or course, she needed a *LOT* less spoiling starting about 18 years ago,

Here is some pure humor, a nice *.mp3 file:

http://www.dontdownloadthissong.com/tracks/DDTS.mp 3

As always with Weird Al, you have too listen to the words to really "get it". I wonder if he really wants us to download it or not? I mean, it *is* a cut from his recently released CD.

Jack
