Jest got the news letter from ASRA/CCS today. The Buell XBRR is excluded from CCS Thunderbike competition. Good thing I didn't run out and buy one. Now jest where oh where are all those Dealer & Priveteeres going to race their 30k toys?

I don't follow racing of any kind too much, so this is probably a dumb question...Why would they single out the Buell???? Sounds like a crock to me, however someone will probably be able to enlighten me.

the XBRR is larger than 1210cc. It doesn't exclude the other Buells.

So what remaining categories in ASRA/CCS categories will the XBRR qualify to run in?

So what's the big deal?
They can still run a nice 1203.
Keep the short stroke and just don't drill the jugs out as much.

Classes it can compete in, originally posted by Blake on Dec 6th,

CCS classes in which an XBRR may compete:

1. Middleweight GP
2. Heavyweight GP
3. Unlimited GP
4. Supertwins
5. GTU
6. GTO

In three of the above, an XBRR would be very competitive.

And Buell XB12 machines will continue to race in Thunderbike.

Other CCS classes in which the XBRR might be permitted to compete:

7. Middleweight Superbike
8. Heavyweight Supersport
9. Heavyweight Supserstock
10. Heavyweight Superbike

Dave is correct and I believe the XBRR will be legal for Light Weight Formula 40 as well since air cooled V-twins can run unlimited displacement.

I'm planning on racing in that class this year, anyone got an RR I can use??

Sure, at least 46 of them are redundant from real racing
