this is kinda long and i didnt put it on here to start anything, just thought it was very interesting and i wanted to share it!

PROFILING FROM A PILOT'S POINT OF VIEW........WHAT A LETTER!!!!

This is the most profound, most insightful message to Muslims I've seen. I think it should be read on Fox, sent to the President, and forwarded to any other form of media to express what so many of us feel toward the Muslims!

The paper stated today that some Muslim doctor is saying we are profiling >him because he has been checked three times while getting on an airplane.

(A Letter From An American Airlines Pilot) This well spoken man, who is a pilot with American Airlines, says what is in his heart beautifully....read absorb and pass on....it's time to get answers from those who claim their terrorist members do not represent them..why are their leaders not LOUDLY AND FIERCELY AND CONTINUOUSLY condemning their visible murderous brethren.
YOU WORRY ME!

By American Airlines Pilot - Captain John Maniscalco

"I've been trying to say this since 9-11 but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country. But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.
I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of
their attacks.
On September 11, nineteen ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise
grandparents elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.
The Palestinians Celebrated, The Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.
How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim-Americans and the Arab/Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same
good neighbors and children? The events of September 11th changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country
to determine it for me.
I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know whether or not you love America . Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car? Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation, that He will protect and
prosper it? Or do you pray that Allah with destroy it in one of your "Jihads? Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords? A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve this freedom by paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America ? If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it.
Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the death of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in any more sympathy. I am only interested in action. What will you do for America - our great country --
at this time of crisis, at this time of war?
I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets. I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America " I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a
whole.
The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize in Muslim communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them over to us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action. Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter. You have disappeared from the streets.
You have posted armed security guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You have screamed for protection from reprisals. The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making
sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.
If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when your "leaders" are teaching
fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?
It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our
presidents burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.>Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because our women proudly show their faces in public rather than cover up like a shameful ? Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because we drink wine with dinner, or celebrate
Christmas? Do you and you fellow Muslims hate us because we have befriended Israel , the ONLY FRIENDLY CIVILIZED SOCIETY in the Muslim/Arab area, that thinks and acts like most Americans.
And if you and your fellow Muslims hate us, then why in the world are you even here? Are you here to take our money? Are you here to undermine our peace and stability? Are you here to destroy us? If so, I want you to leave. I want you to go back to your desert sandpit where women are treated like rats and dogs I want you to take your religion, your friends, and your family back to your Islamic extremists, and STAY THERE! We will NEVER give in to your influence, your retarded mentality, your twisted, violent, intolerant religion.
We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us: Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world. I want to know where every Arab/ Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every
true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family. I am pleading with you to let me know. I want you here as my brother , my neighbor, my friend, as
a fellow American. But there can be no gray areas or ambivalence regarding your allegiance and it is up to YOU, to show ME, where YOU stand." "Until then .. you worry me"

Do you suppose there is an (now unemployed) Iraqi airline pilot that wishes American people illegally occupying Iraq would do likewise?

Swear allegiance to Iraq and fly the Iraqi flag?

Did the author of that trash ever stop and think how scared ordinary people are, of whatever religious persuasion, of having to live in a war zone that's had the shit bombed out of it since the American led forces dropped the first bomb?

What makes that statement even more ridiculous is America is perhaps the safest place to live today on the planet and the author probably is at more risk of death from his plane crashing. Paranoid and delusional.

Pretty good letter except where he said Arab Muslims waving the American Flag, I believe he wanted to say Arab-American Muslims.

-to Rocket,....

I believe that unemployed Iraqi pilot, most Iraqis, most Muslims, and most Americans including GW want us out of Iraq as soon as possible. It's what any rational person would want.

The only ones that want us to stay there are the ones that want to kill us.

I don't doubt that, but whilst America is present in Iraq or Afghanistan or wherever, shouldn't the same logic be applied to them as the author of the letter demands of foreigners settled in America ?

The U.N. made ultimatum after resolution before we went to Iraq and Afghansistan, with consequences if they weren't met. I guess "Illegally Occupying" can be debated. I do know the current govts. of both of those countries do not want us to leave right now.

I suppose the few American soldiers that decide to settle in Iraq or Afghanistan after the war will, over time, become good citizens of those countries, and while there, abide by all their laws or be jailed.

I'm not on board with this guy's letter 100% as I don't expect a first generation arab-muslim american to automatically love America and start waving flags. Just as I would miss my home terribly if I had to leave my country for a job in some new land. However, I would abide by all their laws. If I did not want to abide by their laws and respect their customs, I would not move there. Food and Shelter speak louder than religion for most ordinary people, religion being something personal after all.

I'll cut this author some slack, as the news of what happened recently on board that plane was a very disturbing sign.

First I must say God Bless America, Long Live the Republic! God Bless our American Servicemen.

You have to realize that there is a direct correlation between America and any oppressed peoples of any nation of this world.

Common thinking oppressed colonist peoples of this country agreed to join and overthrow the oppressing government of the time and and begin a new government. They were still under the rule of another nation, they up took arms to remove the oppressors from the lands they were occupying and live under a new government. This took faith, commitment, belief, trust, sacrifice, and many other things we have trouble understanding because unfortunately they are concepts most Americans of today fail to grasp.

Why are we getting messed up in what the oppressed peoples of another nation won't do for themselves. Heavens knows they have much better armament then what is available in this country to the common person, they are using them against our servicemen.

I don't mind helping an oppressed peoples out if asked, but the peoples of Iraq allowed this now departed dictator to come into power because of their own ignorance, greed and neglect, for not standing vigilent against tyrants, and trying to get something for nothing.

Look back, Vietnam, Korea, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, (We have yet to take on China) have all been the same thing, to liberate oppressed people. I know that in some of these conflicts the intrests and safety of America were at stake. But in this most recent conflict we were there once before, if were are going to do something do it all.

Don't rebuild just half the engine!

Please do not label me as anti-war, un-american, or a peace-nic. I am all for being over there but just as I am sure we had an entry strategy, the out come of this should be clear and decisive, and it should make a permanent change to the political landscape, so the tyrants find no place to practice, and the peoples have a means of self preservation.

Our country was asleep at the switch, no one was or is now minding the hen house, now the over-reaction is threatening the very liberties our country once stood for. I hope we will not soon be the oppressed again.

God Bless You all
God Bless America
and Good night!

(Snopes.com is great isn't it!)

Ain't no such thing silly Brit brick boy. : )

The current situation in Iraq is fully UN sanctioned as well as authorized by the sovereign Iraqi government itself, you know, the first one in Iraq to ever be democratically elected? Silly Brit brick boy. : )

Taken from Snopes and sums my OPINION on this subject:
"How, then, do we now distinguish friend from foe? Wouldn't it be so much easier if — as advocated here — we could simply assume all ARAB-MUSLIMS to be guilty and demand them to demonstrate otherwise?

But such an approach is not only inimical to many of the principles American stands for, it is also logically flawed. What terrorists bent on the destruction of the USA would hesitate to camouflage themselves by hypocritically waving American flags or professing a false love for the USA? We cannot judge people by outward appearances alone, and that realization leaves us feeling scared and powerless."

If you guys are going to "debate" such volatile subjects, might I suggest that you keep in mind that if you are to have a civil debate, you must leave out emotion(period) and stick soley to facts(as boring as that is).
Also realize that doing anything other that that is purely opinion and no matter how upset you become as a result of 'opinion', it is OWNED, certainly and without question, by the person sharing it and can't be taken away and should not be ridiculed or chidden.

As I told a good friend just recently, folks look a lot nicer(on many levels) standing upright instead of stooping to some lower level.

Before I am chastised for my 'opinion', I want to say that I stumbled in here by accident and have seen this type of topic drag the whole site down and would like to see that kind of thing stop before it starts here.

And there is not one person in here that I wouldn't kiss right smack on the lips(figuratively speaking) so I am not singling anyone or taking any sides, just 'voicing' MY opinion. Take it as you will.

Pammy wise.

Rocket,
You misunderstand. My bad, emoticons added. Hey, you posted the pic of yourself brick in hand, brick boy.

"Bigot" is in no way endearing. Bad form old chum. yes, off your meds you must be. Thanks for the call though. Nice chatting with you. Did you know that you have a rather thick accent?

My point is valid, Americans are 100% legally occupying Iraq right now. So, once again, I hath shown that you are wrong sir brick head. ;)

Good grief, even as an insult, is "brick boy" really such a potent term? lol.
