It got me thinking about the ones that have left. The one I wish I still had. The one I hope to still have twenty years from now. and yes, I do tip my hat to those survivors. |

Yeah that was a good article. I saw the bike I learned to ride on (a Honda XR80) a few years ago. It amazed me how tiny it was, and really made me feel my age when I realized it had already been through two generations of riders and was sitting in the garage waiting for the third. Daddy bought it new in 1984 and I rode it all over the national forest bordering our land until I left for the service in 1990. He sold it to a neighbor sometime after that and their young children learned to ride on it too. So now here I am in 2006 with a beautiful Lightning. I know I'll own other bikes, but I'll probably keep this one for life just for nostalgia's sake. Thanks for sharing. |
