Just over a year ago I was finishing up the sale of my really nice 84 GPz-550 and was have a e-discussion with a friend in California, who I met on the GPz-550 forum, about what I was going to get next.
I mentioned that while I was looking at a lot of bikes I kept coming back to Buells, particularly the S3/S3T.
He sent me an e-mail with a link that said "like this one?"

Turns out the bike he found was in New Hampshire! I had googled S3/S3T, looked at cycle trader, e-bay, anyplace I could think of and had not found this bike 40 miles away!
I was thinking I had all winter to find a bike, but I kept going back to that link until I finally called and made an appointment to go see it.
Well talk about love at 1st sight!

And if that wasn't enough then they started it and I was hooked. I put a deposit on it and it was a very long winter until I finally rode it in March!
This site and ATC played a big role in my decision to get a Buell as I was going to do all the work on anything I bought, so good access to technical resources was/is crucial!
One year, 5000 miles, a couple dozen drag strip runs, 1/2 dozen different ladies on the back, and I am still in love with my bike!

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!

GREAT photos and a great story. . . I paraded a Black S3-T all over the country and have nothing but fond memories.

Best wishes for a happy holiday!

I just passed my 1st year. Dec 16 2005.

Here's the day I picked it up.

I had no idea then what I was getting myself into. I imagine it's similar to what crack addicts feel.

i will be approaching my one year in 34 days!!! Even though ive said i may get rid of it, i just dont think i can do it. Its my first street bike and i got this bike for many reasons, but the main reason was like Scott said, "Love at first site". If i do get another bike, it will be a 2nd bike. i thiink i will keep this one for a long time!!

Rasmonis, that picture is how I felt on my 1st ride. There wasn't any snow, so I didn't post that picture because everything looks normal, but it was 31 degrees!
The sun was out, it was registered and I just couldn't wait any longer!
Yes you have met my bike Greg- we'll have to see who we can get together for a spring ride up in the White Mountains!
Congrats to everyone else having a Buell anniversary!
