I sat on the new TT at the San Mateo IMS. The bike looks much better in person than in print and felt like a perfect fit when I got on it. I wish my X1 felt that good! Lose the number plates, or use them for serving cookies. I heard other people comment negatively about the number plates too. All the Buell people were top notch as usual. The Buell area was very busy. |

Jon, I agree. The TT looks much nicer in person. Hals had one early this week. I'm going down there to test ride one tomorrow. |

I don't know how I missed the introduction of this bike. What is the scoop on it?? |

Jon, I agree. Saw it at the show today, also. Looked much nicer in person, esp not all tarted up, liked the plain white plastic. Bike felt really nice to sit on,much easier to get your foot down than the Uly, would like a test ride. The new Ducati 1098 was just plain gorgeous, liked the base red,the tri-color, and the "S" was sweet. |

Paint... think XB12SX Tall... and there are some all new suspension bits on there. We are eagerly awaiting ride reports. Court hinted at some great stuff. |

I saw it at the Long Beach show. I liked it in person much more so than from just pictures. I think the number plates may have a nice purpose as saddlebag supports. As just numberplates and decoration, nope. Asbjorn |

Jim, Isn't that funny? Many have had the same impression about the TT. It just fits great. I regret the marketing tom-foolery that disgusted so many who would probably like this bike on it's more realistic merits. I agree about the Duc too. Wow...the base model is affordable! What do I do, What do I do! |

FMJ, McKay, et al... Please advise if the TT has the same limited lock to lock steering as the Uly. Thanks |

I went and test rode one at Hals today.... I like it. Couldn't really "ride it like ya stole it", since the roads were damp, and the bike only had 10 miles on it. Outtie, never noticed the local to lock thing being a problem. But it is less than the CityX. Whether or not it's as bad as the Uly, dunno... Sorry. Turn in was also slower than the Cityx, but faster than the Lightning long. Soaked up the bumps WAY better than the CityX as well. Went over some Railroad tracks at around 50MPH. Tracks I wouldn't dare take over 30 on the CityX. I purposely tried to hit every pot hole I could, just to see how the suspension takes it. And it took it in stride. Obviously stiffer than the Uly. But I don't have to "one butt cheek" the TT at stop lights with my 32" inseam. The seat is weird, it makes you feel like you're sitting ON the bike, not in it, like the CityX with the select seat. I dislike what Buell is using for coverings on the seats these days. Too sticky for cordura pants. Can't move around on the seat as much. It doesn't seem as sticky as last year's SS seat, but still annoying IMHO. But, an easy fix. And not really much of a concern for me, as I will be replacing the TT's tail section for a Uly tail section. In my quest to create a "modern" S3T. I'm also surprised how much louder the TT was than the CityX. The Intake noise seemed much louder. I'll certainly be buying one in a few weeks, if I can afford it. A friend of mine had told me, "it's the best all around riding bike Buell has made". And he is TOTALLY correct. |

Hey Steve, I'm glad you liked the ride. Although I am not as accomplished a rider as you and the others in BCTB I sure did like the ride of the TT when I had it out last Wednesday. I took the same railroad tracks at about 40mph and found the suspension to be bang on and I made no adjustments from the factory settings. One thing that I really like is that I'm not as scrunched up from the waist to the pegs like I am on the Uly with the new seat. Much more comfortable. I must apologize for not finishing up with you today. It seems like I'm the only guy in the store who can answer questions on Buells. I guess that's a good thing but sometimes, like today, it gets in the way. So sorry! BudC |

Steve: The suspension you noticed was no accident. I posted a picture a while back of the "old" (up to 2007) fork tubes and rebound adjusters and the ones on the TT showing the difference in tube profiles and external hardware. The TT is a very well sorted out Buell and it's unfortunate that the folks in marketing were busy touting "number plates" when they should have been telling us "this is the best Bull to date". I had the opportunity to ride a VERY well broken in TT and suspect it just gets better with time. I'll bet you enjoy the bike very much. |

In a few minutes, my wife and I are heading up to Manchester H-D/Buell to sit on a TT. If she fits on one, we'll be doing some serious thinking about buying the suspension pieces and putting them on a Uly. Terri won't have a bike without hard bags, and she wants another Buell, but the Uly is too tall for her. This could be the answer. I hope so. |

love that transelucent that's where Buell PR screwed up . all the hoopla but what they revealed was a blank slate telling the public , potential buyers to imagine something ??? hey regardless of specs compare the release of the duc 1098 and the TT . people are druelling over the Ducati because it looks so sexy . |

Never saw the hopla on anything about this bike... Lose the number/side plate thing-a-ma-bobs and I am sure it would have a lot more appeal to it... But hey, what do I know... I ride a tuber!!! |

Steve M...Thanks for the ride report and info concerning the steering lock. Flashing back to FMJ's Uly ride report concerning the steering lock, I am merely wondering if the TT has the same off-road handicap. If HD doesn't do the XR1200 in the US, I just may go with a white TT. |

Dana...That was true until this summer. I sold the X1 to a friend who just got his license and he loves it as much as I do. Little "Seller's Remorse" there. Since I wanted either a street tracker or a big bore super moto, I figured I would cash out on the X1 and put the money aside for what I wanted. Totally to my surprise, both Buell and Harley answered my prayers and now I have to decide which one I want more since I can't afford both. Oh yeah, the Geezer Glide stays as Di loves it. The inverse is I want a stylin' solo sporting bike for grins. |

Outtie, just go by Hals, ask Bud for a test ride. Tell him you're an 'ol Brew City member. He'll treat ya like royalty But don't beat on the bike too much... It might be mine in a couple of weeks |

I have a feeling if that HD is released in the US (I don't see how it wouldn't) you'll be riding on that. It's just you. It has Bomber written all over it! Hell, it may just be my next (read 2nd) bike! |

The TT will handle better, that kind of goes without saying. I know! Come on down to March Badness, and ride the new TT in the right environment. It'd be great to finally shake your hand. |
