The number plates on the TT, while still dorky, don't like QUITE as dorky in person : )

That's the 1st thing that comes off the bike when I pick mine up next month : )

Use the truck to haul the S3 here, trade it in on the Ss, haul it back and then sell the truck.
See how helpful I can be?

Dave,
Well, the truck is actually a Durango...
Sleez,
Hmm, ride the bike from WI to MD in December. I don't have that much cold weather gear! Remember Dumb and Dumber? That would be me cruzin into Baltimore, frozen to the bike, snot-encrusted face, icicle eyebrows, yellowish frost on my pants...

You are forgiven. I guess living in CA, the temperature (or lack of it) isn't the first factor that works into your plan.
Although it has been 65 here today, I am very afraid of this winter for some reason.

Yeah, but right this very minute the Midwest is in the midst of a tropical heat wave! Some cold weather gear and you would be good to go!

I think all you need to make it Cali legal is the Evaporative Emissions Canister, and some rubber hose. I'll give you mine for free if you want it. Where in Cali are you?

Just checked your profile, I see you're in Willits. Hell, I was just up that way a few weeks ago, vacationing in Shelter Cove. Drove right through there and cut over to Bragg, then drove all the way down 1 to San Fran and then on south through Big Sur.

Plus put 7500 miles on it to get it into California. Guess you could take a nice long tour before bringing the bike in.

Pwnzor,
That would make sense. But since when has CA DMV ever made sense? It's all about frame tag . . .

hey dave, i'm lookin for a red or black xb12ss. preferably black. and it sounds like you have a few with coated rims. so black with red rims would be my preference. any luck?

red rims or orange rims?
They don't make Ss bikes with red rims.

Of course, I can "make" one any way you want it!

Well, the wheels will add to the price but you could always sell the orange wheels to recoup some of the cost?
