Buell Motorcycle Forum » Quick Board » Archives » Photos Needed! Be Famous! Get Published! Earn a 2007 BadWeB Calendar! « Previous Next »

Help! After the heroic efforts of Dave Gess and with some help from yours truly to assemble from scratch a 2005 BadWeB Calendar and with MONGO huge thanks to all the great contributors to that effort including my wonderful wife, we're looking to make up for missing 2006 and make an even more spectacular BadWeB calendar for March 2007 - February 2008, and we'll even get it to you before March 1st this year! : ]

We would sure appreciate seeing your best and most fun, artistic and interesting Buell motorcycle related photos! Please email them as file attachments, (not in the body of the email as some email services chop the file size way down) to me at:

BadWeatherBikers dot com at gmail dot com

where you would substitute ".com" for " dot com" and "@" for "at " in the above.
This to hopefully avoid collection of the email address by the web's numerous spambot email address harvesters.

When submitting photos PLEASE include:

1. Photographer credits: who took the pic (name & username if applicable), camera and other photog related details optional,

2. Your contact info, (not for publication, just for me and me only, PROMISE!)

3. BadWeB username,

4. A brief subtitle/caption info for each pic (names, places, dates, motorcycle models/customizations, other interesting anecdotal information)

5. And very importantly an assurance that the photos submitted are your own and/or approved/okay for our BadWeB calendar publication.

We need to avoid using any photos that are not approved for our use/publication.

For those who missed the 2005 BadWeB calendar, here are some low-res samples of it. I have a few hardcopies of it left, like nine total. If anyone would like one, first-come-first-served, let me know and provide the shipping address. : ) Hey! It'll be accurate again in 2011 and 2022. : )

I think the collage is too cool. The printer did a wonderful job and the detail in all the pics is wonderful. You can darn near look at it every day and find something new and interesting.

Also, if you know of any events that are of national/international interest to Buell enthusiasts or fans of motorcycle sport, please pass them on to me for inclusion on the calendar, pictures or no. : ) Like for the 2005 Calendar, we'll be including notations for all the major world/international, and American, Australian, British, and Canadian road racing events.

But mostly right now we need pics, pics, pics! So please dig through your photos and email your most inspired/inspiring, highest quality Buell motorcycle related photos in full high-res form to badweatherbikers dot com at gmail dot com (same spambot defeating code as above). : )

Again, please include for each photo a brief subtitle including your name, your BadWeB username, the place, the year & model of bike and any other pertinent info you feel like the names of any others in the pic.

We're looking mostly for nice clean action or artistic looking shots and photos that eminate a definite aura of fun and "life is good" attitude.

I keep saying "we" cause I know I'll be harassing Dave Gess to share his big hairy knowledge on this at some point. : ) Fair warning Dave. : )

I KNOW Trojan and Hillbilly have some great stuff that is calendar worthy. How about it Matt and Jens?

Anonies?

Deadline for submissions will be January 3rd, but please if you have some nice photos, I'm begging here, dig 'em up and send 'em on asap.

Got actual hardcopy photos? Send hardcopy prints and/or negatives to:

BadWeatherBikers.com
2906 Florence St.
Kilgore, TX 75662-3942

Thanks!

Blake

Bads that was at 10 miles an hour in front of my house...I wouldn't take my kids on a ride here in Miami for nothing in this world. Jesus man I'm a paramedic for the Fire Dept. Guess how many trauma alerts I've had with motorcyclist down? Countless.. But thanks for your input..

A head is fragile and even at 10 mph with contact with pavement can result in severe injury or death. I'm not trying to bust your chop's just speaking from the heart. My father was a Doctor and my wife is a CCU RN my family has seen alot.

Stou, how did the flame job ever turn out over the chrome airbox cover?

Toona, I got them chromed and started to paint it but the chrome quality was not good. Since then I have changed the place I got my helmets chromed but didn't have the chance get the parts chromed again.

Since that time, I changed my mind about the chrome.... too bling bling for me. So when I'll have a chance, I'll do a custom paint without chrome on those parts.

Firefightergarcia - Brilliant! I think this picture (1 adult and 2 kids without helmets) should be chosen for the calendar so people can sit in amazement as to what this guy was thinking. And I don't care that he was only going 10 mph. From a firefighter no less...a person that sees injuries quite frequently, I'm sure.

March 07 is only a few days away and I'm waiting to hear news on the this project.

When is the calendar going to materialize and what is the cost going to be?
